Reviews
"What a great little place. Had two tacos one steak and one pork. Be ready. Limited English spoke. Menu on the wall in English."
"Please, when 6 Caucasian rednecks sit down at your table, please send someone that can speak at least one word of English! Food is great."
"The food is authentically cooked and prepared but it has barely any seasoning, and the chicken taco is absolutely plain, all in all as long as you stick to pork and beef it's good, where this place shines is its peppers and sauce, you won't find a place around here including Pensacola that will light you up like this place will, great sauce great peppers, where this place doesn't shine is the fact that the one's cooking the food and handling your money are children, kids are cute but if you think the prices of items aren't wildly random depending on what kid is the cashier you've got another thing coming, also I've seen adults in a restaurant kitchen and they're bad enough, that's all I'll say about that."
"The food was very delicious. I had the Torta at $11 and tried 2 drinks at $2.75 each. One was strawberry and the other a non-alcoholic Sangria-like drink. Both were very good. The strange thing about this Restuarant is that the word "Restuarant" is not in the name and not on the building. For years since it appeared at the corner of CR 65 and CR 26 Michigan Road, I always thought it was a "hole-in-wall" BAR. It has a grocery store on the North side with no name, the Restuarant in the middle, and an empty room on the South side that all looks like one building and one business. This business obviously suffers from the owners NOT KNOWING HOW TO OPERATE AND PROMOTE a business. It is likely a "seat-of-your-pants" operation thrown together as a multi-business. There was NO HEALTH DEPARTMENT INSPECTION form on display for the public to see, if there was one at all. The Health Dept probably does not know there is a Restuarant at this location. From 11:14 am until 12:45 there was a couple and me in the dining room. You would think there would be more customers especially since the Torta I was served was very good. The only thing is, I asked for "verda" which is shown on their wall as "beef" and what was in my Torta tasted and looked like a spicy sausage. I would definitely say, "NOT BEEF." But it tasted good and that was probably what they had. I had to ask for a fork and knife. No utensils were set at the table. I was brought a plastic fork, knife, spoon, knapkin wrapped in plastic. The server did what most untrained servers do: he placed the sauces at the other seating area about 18 inches away from me instead of in the middle of the table directly in front of me. I guess he expected me to reach 2 feet over to pull the sauces towards me. I asked him to place the 2 sauce dishes in the middle of the table in front of me. There were paper towels for napkins. The bill was not brought to my table. I had to go to the kitchen area to pay the bill. There is no front desk or welcome area at or near the door. How do they keep customers from walking out without paying is a mystery. But you are not greeted when you enter, either. I wonder if Saturday, noon is a "slow" time of day for them. I have seen many vehicles there, as I said, thinking it was a "bar" that served only alcohol. I will attempt to attach photos. Sometimes this review stuff have no way to attach photos."
"Stopped for tamales and they were not very good at all. Real "mushy" and had very little meat. $15 for 4 tamales which is high. Service was good and the place was clean. I did see some tacos and they looked good so maybe that is the way to go."
