"Lake Apopka has come back after many years of pollution and high nitrates. Fishing is good and water quality is much better."

"Absolutely love this nature preserve! You see plenty of beautiful birds and lots of alligators. Today we saw about 25 to 30 gators. Other times we had visited we have seen up to 100! Everyone drives through and the cars go at a slow pace. You can pass them if you want or you can stop and get out to get a better look. The drive takes approximately two hours, and it is definitely worth it!"

"Trail is actually a limestone road, so it is easy to follow. We saw several bicyclists. We walked about 1.5 miles out and back. Very open views, would not do it in the warmer months. Decent birding."

"Wonderful drive through nature. Many bird varieties, plants and alligators galore. It is wetland beauty in the middle of the city. There is no charge - donation only."
