"My pool had turned green almost black. Michael from Pinch a Penny came out a few times and it looks the best it ever has. I definitely would recommend"

"In September 2023 had pavers and coping installed around our pool. Shaun, owner of Mt Dora Pinch a Penny and his Paver expert, Fred came and gave us a good price for the work that we wanted. Job was finished in a timely manner. We are extremely happy with the results! See the before and after photos."

"We are new to owning a pool. It's a small pool too. Everyone there is very patient and knowledgeable. We're very satisfied with their recommendations to keep our pool looking good."

"Pinch-A-Penny (Mount Dora store) just resurfaced our pool. We couldn't be happier! Tammy did a fantastic job coordinating everything; and she was so helpful! We highly recommend them, and we will continue to be a loyal costumer! Too bad we waited so long to do this. Thanks again Tammy."

"VETERANS AND EDUCATORS STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! On July 13, 2021 I purchased the MX*8 ELITE. On July 15, 2021 at 1:40 pm I came to return the item that was never utilized and packaging in perfect condition. I was told by Rachel the representative who sold it to me the I could not return the purchase. I asked her why didn't she tell me that before I purchased it she replied with "I didn't tell you because I assumed you were not going to return it!" I immediately asked to speak with the manager and it went from bad to worse. Christina the "Manager" is by far the most disrespectful manager I have come across. I told the manager that as a Total and Permanently Disabled Veteran I felt deceived by Rachel to make a sale. (At this time Rachel has retreated to the back of the store). Christina's tone changed when I asked to be addressed as Dr. Bido and not just Jacqueleen. I explained to her the return policy on the back of the receipt which referenced 30 day return or 20% restocking fee of which none were offered. Christina informed me that she did not care what I wanted to be called and repeatedly called me Jacqueleen. When I said you are offending me and in addition I am a disabled veteran she said "I am sorry your offended Jacqueleen ... I am going to call you by your first name." I then hit record on my phone to ensure the next words were captured on recording. When I asked her that I would like to speak with her supervisor she gave me the store number which she subsequently answered and said her boss was not in. This review is written to inform educators and veterans to take their money to an alternate establishment. I wonder if Tammy the owner is aware of the lack of professionalism given to customers at her store. As a veteran with two tours of duty in Iraq and Kuwait it saddens me to know that we return to the country we sacrificed it all for to be treated with little respect. I thought "maybe its because I am and Educated Hispanic" but who knows maybe they mislead and disrespect several of their customers to meet a sales quota. I have made a complaint with corporate and the BBB."
