About the Business

Silver Springs Clear Kayaking

Silver Springs Clear Kayaking is a travel agency located at 5656 East Silver Springs Boulevard in Silver Springs, Florida, United States. We offer clear kayak rentals with treasure maps for self-guided tours, as well as manatee tours during the winter months when the manatees migrate to the springs to stay warm. The water temperature in the spring stays at 72 degrees year-round, making it an ideal spot to see wildlife such as manatees, marsh birds, alligators, and wild rhesus macaque monkeys.

Silver Springs is rich in history, with attractions dating back to the late 1870s and Hollywood movies filmed on location. The Silver River is a first magnitude spring, pumping out a minimum of one hundred cubic feet per second. The park covers over 5000 acres and offers hiking trails, bicycling areas, equestrian trails, and a museum.

Our kayaking tours are beginner and family-friendly, with full instruction provided for beginners and professional guides to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Kids aged 4 and older are welcome on public tours, while younger children can join private tours. Our tours offer a chance to see a variety of wildlife, including the unique Rhesus Macaque monkeys that live along the shoreline.

Guests have praised our tours for the abundance of wildlife sightings, knowledgeable guides, and unforgettable experiences. "Super great 29th birthday experience, to be honest I was so scared and nerves. I’m a larger person without great balance. Sassy, my tour guide made the whole adventure one I’ll definitely remember. I was thoroughly suppressed when I saw my reflection in the water and She was kind enough to let me know it was actually a manatee lol."

"My husband and I came down to Florida for a friend’s wedding and had the morning to kill. We decided to go kayaking and it turned our short time in Florida into a memorable vacation. Our tour guide Roger was funny, informative, and helpful to those who needed it. There was a family with young kids in our group and he made sure their time was exciting and helped point out the different animals for the kids when they had trouble finding them. This park was absolutely gorgeous and makes you feel like you’ve been dropped into Jurassic Park. We saw over 10 manatees, 3 alligators, probably 50 turtles, 2 snakes, a bunch of birds, tons of fish, and even got a peak at some monkeys. Everyday is different in the river and you’ll never know what you’ll see next. The kayaks were comfortable and the clear bottoms made for great videos of the waters below. If I came back I would definitely also try paddle boarding. You get a different view from high up, but both are incredible."
