"There must have been a recent change in management within the last week because this store has completely taken a turn for the worst. I used to love walking into my local pinch a Penney because it was always very family oriented and friendly but the new franchise owners have turned it into a corporate setting and it is obvious within its employees that have remained there that they aren’t happy and neither am I"

Returning to the store at this point is not worth the money and time. *** Horrible customer service. I have spent a lot of money with this store, but today, that relationship ends. Beware of buying items from them as they will not stand behind what they give you. I was looking for a Pentair Super Flow VS shaft seal. I called the store to see if they had one and was told they did. When I arrived, they confirmed it would work on my pump and had it ready. They had the seal out of the box to show it to me. After pulling out the old seal and comparing it to the one sold to me by Pinch a Penny, it was the wrong size; there was no possible way it would work. I ordered one directly from Pentair to ensure I got the correct one. I returned to pinch a Penny trying to return the incorrect item they sold me and was told it was not a returnable item. They also told me it was missing a part. If a part was missing, it was missing when it was sold to me (likely misplaced when they had it out of the box at the store). The box with the seal stayed on the counter I was working from. I hope others will learn from my mistake and go to another pool supply store that understands the products it sells and stands behind the mistakes it makes. I guess $17 is worth losing a customer. Previously, I had my pool upgraded to a salt pool by this store, serviced for an air leak, and purchased other supplies and items here. FYI, I was getting ready to add a heater. That business will now go to someone else."
