"Jenny is incredible!!! She suggested a capacitor for my pool pump motor… she ordered it and installed it at her store… charge was $12!!! Took the unit home, installed it and the motor and pump works perfectly. Very honest business!! John Hutchens….."

"In 2021, I purchased a Hayward extended life turbo cell for my pool salt water chlorination system. The item has a 4 year manufacturer warranty. Two years later, the turb cell is failing. I took the unit to Leslie's and was told that they no longer have a way to test the unit. I asked if another store had a way of testing it and was told that the other store in the area did not have a tester either. I was told that a service technician would have to go to my residence to test the unit and that the service call would cost $175. I inquired if there was a store somewhere else that had a tester and was told that even if there was, a service call would still be required as that is the company policy. I took the unit to the other pool supply company in the area. They tested the unit, and it failed. They have initiated the warranty exchange at no cost. It is apparent that Leslie's is charging customers a fee for honoring a manufacturers warranty as a way to get extra income from their customers. As I was leaving the customer service counter, I commented that $175 was a bit high. Another customer that had just entered said, "For warranty service?". It appears this is a common practice at Leslie's."

"Wow, just Wow! I usually go to your competitor Pinch A Penny and now I remember why. My son usually picks up my chlorine and he goes to Leslie's so I thought I will just go there today. When I went in, a male employee was helping someone at the counter, but usually most places at least acknowledge you with at least a "I'll be right with you" or "Welcome to _____". Nope, nothing, a minute or 2 after waiting, a female employee comes from the back, walks up picks up my empty jugs of chlorine and says nothing to me, absolutely nothing. She goes to the back fills my jugs and I also tell her I need acid, she places it on the cart pushes it to the front and takes my money. Still no friendly conversation other than to ask my name, for what I am not even sure. But here is the real kicker for me and the reason I am writing this long review. By this time all the other customers are gone and there are 2 employees in the front of the store and NEITHER of them ask me if I need any help. They start chatting between themselves, I might as well have been invisible. I push the cart to the door, open it while trying to get the cart through, take the now filled (heavier) jugs to my car, load them and the box with 2 gallons of acid in it. Push the cart back inside. NEITHER EMPLOYEE OFFERED ANY ASSISTANCE! Obviously I can pick up the jugs, that's not the point. The point is CUSTOMER SERVICE, which this Leslies doesn't have!"
