"DON’T COME HERE …GO TO ANOTHER POOL STORE! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DON’T OWN THEIR MISTAKES - THEY BLAME IT ALL ON THE CUSTOMER. Review 2 of 2 started under the name of (Daniela Pupo) Continuation: David comes up with stuff that you as a customer don’t expect or believe. This company is unreal. It’s all about money. Pay extra for this and pay me extra for that. The c-clam was leaking because his service guy didn’t do the job properly period. Now, David is saying that i closed a valve that I never touched and this is why the plastic o-ring blow up due to the water pressure built into the pipes and is my fault. They really don’t know what to come up with. Stop blaming your bad work on the customer. What a scam! Never working again with this pool store and I suggest for people to do the same……STAY AWAY! Nobody likes the truth but this is it. Let’s see now with what excuse or blames the owner of the store replies with. Just run people."

"Review 1 of 2 Worts Pinch a Penny Ever - don’t come here - go somewhere else! Horrible customer service - service guy is never available- excuse after excuse ( sick, busy, personal problems, weather, parts out of stock) - is all about money here - they don’t care about the customer experience at all! Was a nightmare from beginning to end. I initially called for service because I had 4 connections leaking because I had added rocks around the pool pump and this seems to had moved the pipes a little be out of place. All I wanted was for them to adjust the connections to eliminate the leaking. Service guy came out and instead of trying to fix the leaks for the initial $125 dollars service charge he said no - everything has to be replace which was $800 dollars total. I am Not a plumber and said ok do it since everything was going to be replace for new parts and pipes. After I agreed, it took them 4 weeks for them to come out. Every week cancellation after cancellation and wasting my time as a customer. Service guy always with some issues and personal problems, excuse after excuse, weather etc. David and the lady that works here don’t bother to call you and keep you updated at all. I, as the customer, had to call all the time almost day after day to be informed about their next step towards my repair because they never bothered to tell me or inform me. I don’t know how this pool store manages to stay open and still be in business - it’s just unbelievable! Finally 4 weeks later the service guy comes out - replaces everything and before he leaves he tells me, don’t run anything until next day - let the glue seal on the pipes first because weather was a little cold the day of the repair. I said ok, next day I run the pump in the morning and one connection had a leak - I called them Back and the service tech Carlos came out. Carlos says to me the C clam or lock was broken - the one he had replaced the day before supposedly. He said he would come back with a new part to replace it that same day and I said ok. Well he came back next day. Not same day as promised or told me. He replaced the C clam and while doing that he blow up the big black round lock o-ring that holds together the big pool cartridge that hold both ends. This happened for Not taking the air pressure out of the pipes before running the pump. He went out, got it and replaced it. Well David calls me back stating that I owe him an extra $220 dollars for the o-ring his service guy broke and replaced. I told David sorry but I won’t pay that. Your service guy broke the o-ring and you as a company have to cover that. O-ring was fine when he got here. David wanted me to pay for the O-ring because according to him this part was going to brake anyway. Listen to this which is ridiculous ! I said no, this part broke because your service guy didn’t release the air pressure from the pipes before running the pump and that is why it happened. Back and forth here - told David I wasn’t going to pay for it. Your service guy broke it and you have to replace it at your own cost as a company - told him he has to own his mistakes. David just kept arguing and kept giving me excuses for me to pay which I finished hanging up the phone. Also, David was trying to charge me for extra labor for having to install the o-ring they broke which is insane and I frankly told him don’t know how he has the nerve to tell Me this over the phone - Plus also David wanted me to pay an extra $50 dollar service charge on top of what I had already paid for them having to Come back to replace the C- clam that they didn’t install properly to start with - when they had to Come back anyways for that. This company is insane! They should replace all personnel here - really! David, also tried to blame me for the leaking c-clam his guy had replaced they day before stating I had walked around the work area- told him it wasn’t true."

"The new ownership of the Pinch a Penny on Cross Creek in New Tampa were there for me when my old pool pump failed. They found me a replacement pump that was not only more quiet but will pay for itself in 5-6 years thanks to the energy savings. Their craftsman did a great job with the install and the communications and support with the store was excellent."

"The Cross Creek Blvd PAP is simply AMAZING!! I bought a rehab house and the pool was horrendous (see pics)! TJ, the owner personally came out due to its deep shade of emerald. He knew exactly which parts needed replaced, brought the exact amount of chemicals, worked on clearing it and now it looks like this!! I feel terrible for doubting him when he said he could have it clear in 3 days but he did it. He really did it!!"
