NYC Nails

"Literally both times I’ve gone I’ve had bad experiences. The first time the nails I got were awful in the company refused to acknowledge that they were awful, I literally went to a different salon, and had them redone that day. Now this time it’s like these people used super glue or something. It should not take 3-4 hours for an at home soak off removal where the polish layers and glue legit barley loosened up; that I got tired of trying to soak them off that I gave up after 4 nails and had the rest removed and the salon that removed them even commented like wth. (And yes I was using 100% acetone with warming it up). On top of that had the lady used dip powder like I asked versus gel I wouldn’t have this much trouble removing them but when I said something she just glared at me and then proceeded to talk in another language to her salon partner. Then lied when she said she gave me a discount on the gems and then charged me full price. My second experience nails turned out amazing to look at and show off but service is everything too. Probably won’t be back for a 3rd experience."

"I’ve been here twice now, the first time - amazing! I was so in love with them! And I still love these nails but it’s only been two days and the top coat has already peeled off or is starting to peel off. I’m not sure if you can tell from the photo. For $60 I’d like my nails to last longer than two days :( that’s my only complaint! Otherwise the nails were beautifully done and I was so happy with them when I left."

"Went for a manicure and pedicure. Pedicure was great. Manicure was a disaster. Nail tech asked if I wanted nails cut short. I guess my definition of short was not the same as his. He basically left me with no nails. Then charge me $33. When I spoke to the manager she did nothing. I will not return."

"I paid $20, not including a tip, more here for a fill and gel polish than I have anywhere else recently. I also didn’t have gel polish on for them to remove, my nails were bare. I don’t have a regular place, so I’ve been to about four different salons over the last few months, just for reference in regard to my cost comparison. I noticed a “ridge” in the polish on my thumb right away but didn’t think much of it. Then it started to bubble and peel not even a week later. It’s incredibly sticky under the the polish, which I’ve not experienced before. This salon is actually quite far out of my way, but I’m hoping I can get back over soon to see if they will make this right. Otherwise, the atmosphere is nice and everyone friendly enough. I didn’t initially have any complaints other than cost. I’m sure the quality I received isn’t the norm."
