"Pool Planning / Start Time: October 2022. Actual Finish Time (Swim / Water fill): June 2023. Pool Type: In-ground, Saltwater 10k gallons. Punch list items: Still on-going. Overall: I give Atlas Pools a 4 star review due to their incredible staff, knowledgeable technicians, and friendly culture. A great shoutout to Mike G for handling our punch list items and supervisor Kevin for checking in on quality. Both were extremely responsive and friendly. Fred was also a great sales rep and he continued to help set expectations for our build. The shell, screen, plumbing, and equipment worked well and finished as expected. The shortfalls: In quality I believe they fall short due to their choices in sub-contractors. This pool company boast about their quality and reputation. We chose them not because they were the cheapest but because of horror stories we've heard and tried to avoid with other pool companies in the area. We feel we paid above market value for our pool. Pool build started off in late October, 2022 (design) with an expected completion time of March-April at worse. Our first bulldozer out in mid December and things moved surprisingly fast as our screen enclosure was up and ready to go in late march. By this time we just needed surface and this is where the issues began. Surface: All worked stopped for two months with no communication from the subcontractor. We were furious as our expected completion time was late April at the worst and it was now June. The plaster company came randomly with no warning and in short gave us a sloppy finish tarnishing our grout, tile, and deck clearly by mistake. While no pool surface is 100% perfect there are obviously visible signs of a rushed job. Also watch the calcium levels these remained shockingly high for a while. High PH is normal. Deck Paint: The first coat went on right after our deck texture but the job looked as if someone with no painting experience rolled the paint. We had visible marks up the walls of our house and on our tile and tile liner. The second coat had to be finished by a different contractor. Sidewalk Repair: Still overdue to this day. We paid for any damage to the sidewalk and over a year later we still have not had a contractor come out to fix this issue. In summary, I believe the issues with this pool company are specifically related to their contractors and less the company itself. They seem to have issues with their finishing contractors. Minor but they can slow the completion time down quite a bit. I believe the speed of their builds are improving but definitely stay on top of them and get expectations in writing if possible."

"They started our pool on March 8 2023 and promised to finish in 14 to 16 weeks top. Almost 25 weeks later and my pool is far from being done. At the beginning the project was moving fast, even our neighbors were surprised and and we thought they would finish ahead of schedule but around the end of May, beginning of June they stopped working. The lack of communication is absurd. They never answer my questions and is always an excuse either is someone sick or out of town or something like no one else can take over. We call the financier and found out that they already pay Atlas for our pool. We are so disappointed and frustrated with the lack of seriousness and commitment of this company. I thought we were dealing with a serious company but obviously no."

"Everything started out wonderfully! Chris was friendly and helpful. There was a bit of pressure to get the contract signed, but i figured that was normal. We had s time table and Chria assured us it was reasonable. Sadly what I see in the reviews about poor communication is starting to show and we are just about one month in. A closer review of the contract revealed that anything Chria promised was not binding unless spelled out in the contract. This is disappointing. The lack of communication is starting to be alarming. I have not reached the point of anger with them. Hence the review! I want to put it out there, that it is still possible to get this turned around. I urge the Wemple Family to take this review seriously. There is still a lot of good faith between us to resolve this and build a great pool. Otherwise, my 3 stars will drop as well as my desire to continue our contract. 12/6/2022 Update Atlas Pools have turned things around. Chris and his team has really stepped back up. Things really are starting to look up. I am eager to write my next update. 5/19/2023 Update So my project has been handed off to Kevin, my Project Supervisor, back in December. I never had a pool built, but I am told that Atlas is the very best. Sadly, Atlas has a serious problem. And it is completely within their control. That is.... COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION! Through painful lessons, I have learned that building a pool is a master class in patience! But this can be set at ease by accurate timely information. Information on what is coming next and when is very important. We have a fire pit, and I haven't even seen the plan outside of first picture. The project involves five different contractors. Four of them I hired and coordinated. Atlas has brought a minimum of six subcontractors on to my property. All of mine showed up on time. I can't say if Altas' did or not because I wasn’t given a solid time table. I won't lie, the pool is looking beautiful and we are excited. I want to sing Atlas' praise. I want them to be amazing. But the lack of communication sucks! And this is completely within your (Atlas) control. Again, in complete fairness, Kevin has been doing a fair job all things considering. And I see this communication issue more an industry problem. So to Atlas Leadership, i implore you, set a new standard! August 10th, 2023 Time for another update! So after waiting for months to have the screen installed, I finally convinced Kevin to plaster the pool so at least we can use it. On a glance it looks wonder. However look closely and the issues are clear. Kavin claims that these will be dealt with. However, I am losing faith! We have had over five scheduled appointments to start up the pool in over two weeks. Only two have honored! The automation doesn't work, heck we can't even turn on the In-Pool lights! Above and beyond this, the plaster company has spilled some kind of acid on my brand new Stainless Steel hose bibb (see the pictures). The last straw has been the discovery of a argument between Atlas and the screen company regarding past jobs. To my horror, Atlas had planned to invoke Section 3(f) of the contract to cover any increase to the screen cost. Update Tuesday August 15th So i have been informed by the start up team that Brad (the owner) has recently taken a personal interest in our project. We just completed our Pool School, and the poor guy was working like a dog to get as much done as he could. He took detailed notes on what remains. It is refreshing to see proper oversight coming in to play. They have even suggested resolving the damaged Hose Bidd. I am cautiously optimistic Update Wednesday Aug 23rd So we have Pool School last and working with Mike to resolve these issues.With Brad overseeing pur project, these issues are getting resolved (the Hose Bibb has been solved). I remain optimistic as I work with Mike to resolve our pool issues."
