"Thanks to Marco Polo Pool Service, we’re celebrating the red, white and green today!! We have been using this company for several months now, and at first we were loving having a clear blue pool every day. Recently, the service has gone down hill. Twice in the past month our pool has turned green between weekly visits and looks as though it hasn’t been brushed. The first time my husband contacted Cole, Cole stated that we were told that we needed a new pool filter. When we told him that our whole pool filtering system was just put in in March, Cole said he was short staffed and had multiple call outs that day. I can empathize with that and know how challenging it can be to find reliable staff, however, you would think a business owner with all these rave reviews about being responsive would have had the foresight to let us know that maybe our pool service would not be up to par due to staffing issues and let us have the option of deciding if we’d like to spend the money on chemicals ourselves for that week. This week, our pool is even more green than the previous time. When my husband reached out to Cole to ask if someone has been by, Cole has only responded to the fact that someone had come by but they were out of door tags. When my husband sent the pictures of our green pool to Cole (5 days after service), Cole did not respond. I understand it’s a holiday week, however, I would think that owning a pool business you would prepare for summer holiday weeks to be busier as everyone wants to be outdoors and use their pools. Unfortunately for my husband, kids and I, we cannot use our pool unless we find some place open on the 4th of July that sells pool chemicals. Pictures featuring green pool and algae growing between weekly “service” and the sludge that came out of our filter that hasn’t been cleaned by the technicians."
