Candler Hills Golf Course

"First… debt machine broken after several attempts and admitting it always breaks down we paid with credit card. 15 minutes late to warmup/hit balls/putt. Cart guy then stops us as we need a tag from pro shop another 10 minute delay. Got to the first tee and starter has the worst attitude I’ve ever seen playing golf here in Ocala for over 30 years! For $90, checkin delays and huge unprofessional attitude from the starter.(of course among many things he was telling us the only reason he is there is for free golf and it showed) I will make sure all my golfing friends hear about this and I certainly won’t be back."

"Candler Hills, please stop treating your hot deal players like 5th rate inconveniences. Lady in the Pro shop, I arrived 40 mins early, I don't need to be scolded for it and warned that I better not think about going out early when I never requested it. Guys outside, when you come up to ME and ask my name, and then shock and horror realize I am just a hot deal, and once again read me the riot act about God forbid going out early when I NEVER asked to. I also appreciate your additional feedback that you make zero money on hot deal golf bookings, so it is company policy to ensure you made to feel as unwelcome as possible. The course was in good condition but I did not enjoy myself due to my customer experience and I will never play here again. The guys seemed more friendly as I was exiting as they were chasing me for a tip. Here's my tip.... provide GOOD customer service"

"The course is so well manicured, is beautiful but surprisingly difficult. The staff is so kind and helpful. Truly a better place to play than anywhere else in the area."

"We played Candler Hills Golf Course on April 8th. The course was in GREAT shape! We were paired up with members Lowell and Anne, and they were amazing playing partners, giving us pointers about course layout, history of the community, and some great conversation. I would rate it a 5 if it wasn't for some of the other on site interactions. The staff was great and helpful, but other members were not very inviting. Understood, this is their course, but one day perhaps I would be looking. I wave and say good morning to everyone. Not 1 member besides our playing partners and staff responded. Again, this is their course but it doesn't take much to say hi, or wave back as you are passing each other. Highly reccomend playing the course, however, great place to play. Fairways, tee boxes, greens are all in great shape and I shot a nice little 78 in my 1st time playing there."

"I love this golf course! The fairways are immaculate and the bunkers well groomed. The greens are in wonderful condition but slower than usual. It has not been crowded and the staff truly do their best to make your visit a memorable and enjoyable experience. I definitely recommend this golf course."
