Red Roof Inn Jacksonville - Orange Park

"This hotel took my money and never gave me a room for the night which caused me to have to sleep in my car and miss work. I called the hotel prior to arrival to ask if I can check in early. The guy who answered said yes. When I arrived, it was around 1:30p. The white lady with the dreads stated that their system was down earlier and they might not have any room available. She began to look and stated that there was 1 room that would be ready in 2 hours and took my phone number so that she could call when the room was available. I left and drove to st Augustine to handle so things in the meantime. I arrive back to this location at 5:30pm and waited until 5:45pm in lobby for her to tell me the room type I paid for was not ready and should be ready in 30 mins. I asked for my money back and she said that they did not charge my card so to contact the party I paid through which is Priceline. I immediately walked out to refrain from being rude because i can see if wasn’t ready early, but it is now almost 2 hours after checkin and i still didn’t have a room. I called Priceline who then called Redroof. Priceline proceeds to tell me that the last at red roof says that she does have a room for me and won’t release my refund. I walked back in the lobby and waited in line. She still kept helping others who came in after me and kept putting Priceline on hold. She was soooooo disrespectful and out of line. She showed no concern whatsoever. She started to get so rude to me and started cussing me. I kept telling her that all I want is my money back so that I could go to another hotel. Priceline said they needed her permission to refund my money. I waited for about an hour and still received no service. I even requested to speak to the supervisor several times which she ignored like I never asked. What kind of low budget mess is this? THIS WAS THE MOST GHETTO, WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. I WILL NEVER EVER BOOK HERE AGAIN. AND THAT RACHET AND UNPROFESSIONAL LADY AT THE DESK NEEDS TO BE FIRED. I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH RED ROOF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BBB AS WELL. The only way to fix this with me is to refund my money. I was never checked into a room. They wanted to downgrade my room. That’s not how it works. If you downgrade my roof you need to refund me the difference PERIOD."

"Dirty old room that smelled of bleach. Stains everywhere including the sheets. Burn holes on the comforter. Pretty sure there was an illegal transaction outside of my room. Scary location. Lots of homeless in the parking lot. Changed hotels the same night. The young man at the desk was friendly and helpful."

I know his situation can be challenging and you all rose up to it and did an amazing job. Great customer service is hard to find these days, but your team is A+! Thank you all and Happy New Year!"

"We checked into this location on Saturday, and went about the business we traveled across the country for. When we arrived back in the evening, our room had not be attended to, which meant no fresh towels, the bed not made, the floor not swept, no K- cups, no coffee in the tray for the coffee maker. Oh yes, our cards didn't work when we returned, which required a trip in the rain to the front office to get them replaced. The good thing is that I only had to tell the clerk 3x what room I was in, and that my wife was waiting outside where it was raining with our shopping. Also, gotta love the drawer that was very difficult to open (and close). Oh yes, when my wife went to the front office for towels, the clerk said he was surprised. A few mins later someone showed up to explain that the didn't do the room (duh). She came back later with towels. She never came back with the coffee. If you have a choice, pick another hotel."

"First I want to say I've been to another location in the Brandon/Tampa area and though the staff was friendly the rooms spacious for a regular setup it was really scary. They had painted over what looked and smelled like blood splatter, very coppery sent filled room. The Jacksonville location was pleasant. The room was clean, a bit small but not by much compared to other and the staff was friendly and eager to help. My dog was a bit freaked out at first but there's been other dogs in room, and bigger I'm sure. The woman who was doing housekeeping was a super sweet older woman who's personality literally made her extremely approachable. All you had to do was ask and minutes later you had clean towels or whatever you needed. Amazingly sweet person. The hotel was pleasantly calm on the days we were there, no disturbances, no fighting outside. Sleep came easily there, thankfully. Conveniently located within walking distance of shops, gas stations, smoke shops, restaurants and fast food joints, other hotels as well. There was even a chuck e cheeses literally next door on other side of fence. Walmart was close by as well. The only downside for me was that the tv was a bit crazy, channels wouldn't come in and if you found the Disney channel you'd better leave it on or you'd for some reason loose it."
