"Well the exterior an grounds were beautiful. But when we walked in the pyramid it stunk like dirty linens. The floors didn't look like they had been swept so we swept them. The bedding really stunk like many people had slept in it an never changed the sheets. I immediately washed my bedding. The other bed had hair all over in the sheets an blankets like a dog had been all over it. Washed them too. The so called thermal pond is lined in cement an the water is cold. All the linens look old an outdated. Would not recommend this place."

"My husband and I stayed for 10 days. The Pyramids are unique but clean and are in a great location. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Our host Jeanie was wonderful, very helpful. I would highly recommend."

"I am sorry to say that I found my unit to be less than satisfactory. There was hair in the shower drain, used bar of soap in the bathroom, used tin foil smoothed out and folded in the kitchen drawer. No top sheet on one of the beds. I tried to have a conversation with Gerti but she insisted she had inspected the room and found none of my issues. She dismissed me and my complaints implying I was making it up. There were also other issues I haven’t listed. I was hoping for some money back but instead she gave me a paper pyramid. I won’t ever stay there again basically because I was told my complaints were not true."

"I absolutely loved every minute I spent here at the pyramids. I never knew it was so close yet when you walk in you don’t feel like ur in San Carlos. We stayed for the night before my wedding, wedding night, and rest of the weekend and it was just amazing. Will definitely be going back!"

"I came here on a girls trip with my mother and sisters. We were looking for. Chill time and a place to connect, the pyramids was the perfect place for it! We loved our Pyramid cottage, the decor, cleanliness and organized space was very nice. We loved the there were little comforts included such as plenty of towels, thick quality towels. There were sheet masks in each bathroom! As an esthetician I was thrilled for this because it was a thoughtful gesture considering how much sun everyone is exposed to while lounging on the premises, the skin needs some refreshing moisturizing. Our beds were comfortable and we had plenty of glassware, utensils and dishware. I loved having a back patio access from the bedroom, fully equipped with table and lounge chairs. The mineral lake was so calming. It felt as though it was just calling to us, lol! It seems very clean. I saw the lake being cleaned and maintained every morning we were there. I even had a conversation with the owner about the pools natural cleaning and filtration system. I was impressed. We were there every morning and evening…basically all day. It felt so good, not hot or cold, and I really felt as though my muscle & joint aches were minimized because of it. It’s really nice that they have a BYOB tiki bar near the mineral lake. It was equipped with some paper towels, plates, cups and cutlery and a fridge. We brought our salad , charcuterie board & ingredients to make sangria at the bar. The downside was that the fridge did not have ice making capability. So we had to bring some ice from our pyramid, which generally isn’t a problem. But because it is hot outside, the ice needs to be replenished and it would be more convenient to grab it from the tiki bar just a few steps away. We appreciated the barefoot rock path, with the various rocks. Our guide gave us a very informative tutorial on how to use it for overall well-being. We really felt the difference in our body afterwards. We also tried to go on a nature walk through the jungle walk trail towards the river, as is promoted on the brochures. However the path looked to be blocked off by a chain rope and signage that said no trespassing etc. We later were told that it was just signage to keep out non residents. I think this should be communicated during the check-in process so that there are no misunderstandings. Overall this place was amazing! It has been on my list of places to visit for three years and I am so glad to have finally made it. I highly recommend and I hope to visit again so that I can share the experience with other family & friends."
