Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown

"We just stayed here and was super disappointed. We are frequent travelers and this place just missed the mark. We arrived to the hotel to be informed the pool was out of service for our whole stay which was FIVE days which was exteremlyn disappointing, as the weather was warm enough for the beach and the pool would have been nice to have.. We requested room cleaning service daily at check in and was promised this, only to have ONE reset the full stay, and that was the only time the bed was made. The hotel just felt dirty, you could see the showers weren’t ever given a deep clean, the bottom was pretty icky. Not a great stay. I guess for the price it was ok."

"This hotel was located in a really cool place. We were walking distance to the riverwalk which was awesome and beautiful and there was a park about 5 minutes away. The entire hotel staff were amazing from the time we arrived until the time we left. Anthony at the front desk was very kind. Dante and Matt with the valet services were quick and very nice. Jackie went above and beyond to get me coffee when I was in need and the bistro girls were so very nice and smiling every time they served us. I am not sure what the bartenders name was but we had the same one our whole stay and he was very quick and good at his job. Fred was a really nice guy and my daughter really enjoyed talking to him about her day and he gave her a special treat on our last night. Thank you to everyone who made our stay wonderful, we will always have amazing memories to remember here!"

"I booked a room here for two nights six months in advance. I called a day before to adjust the time I would be arriving the following day, I was told everything was set for my reservation. When I arrived I was told they were overbooked and they would walk me to another property. The one they found was 30 minutes away, in a different county. This simply would not work as I needed to stay in downtown Tampa, as that was the whole reason I was there. When asked for some type of reimbursement for having to stay in a different hotel that was more expensive, they declined as I had booked under a family rate for having a sibling that works for Marriott. I was penalized for a family member being a part of their company. I was extremely disappointed and do not recommend this property as the staff made it seem like this whole situation was my fault."

"My group spent one evening here prior to a cruise. The woman who checked us in, Ashley, was incredibly kind and was wonderful to work with. She saw to it that our luggage was safely stored until our rooms were ready and gave great recommendations for food nearby. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The large number of USB ports in the room was very nice and convenient to us. The riverwalk is nearby and offered excellent views and walking distance. We got a lot of walking in during our stay. In addition, there are many stores or restaurants a short walk from the hotel which made it very easy for us to grab lunch and dinner. I highly recommend this property for your travel."

"Called 3 weeks before our trip to reserve adjoining rooms. A gentleman booked our reservation and we assumed all would be smooth upon checkin and our arrival. We flew across the country for this trip. Upon checking in, we expected to get our adjoining rooms that we had reserved 3 week prior. Nobody had told us these rooms would not be available. So we spent 30 minutes at check in figuring out what had happened. If we had been told we couldn't have adjoining rooms we would've stayed elsewhere. We then had to wait for 30 minutes for adjoining rooms to be cleaned and prepped for us. Still not the experience we had hoped for. The front desk manager came out at one point and even mocked us for expecting to get adjoining rooms. No discount or any sort of financial compensation for the trouble. Regardless, for $294 per night after tax we were let down. Only one elevator was operating and overall I think some parts of the hotel need cleaned up to wear the Marriott brand."
