Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Brandon

"Had issues at Courtyard Marriott, requested higher floor, staff initially declined, found available room later. Checked out quickly due to poor service. Manager (MAG) charged me half-night despite brief stay. Unhappy with lack of apology or resolution. Formerly satisfied Bonvoy member. I occupied the room for 15 mins however they charged my card $129 and will not honor a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE! The general manager Justin didn’t even have the decency to email or call me back. Edit: I contacted Aim Bridge and got in contact with Wes VP Regional Manager. I expressed my grievances. He was able to contact Justin to apply a refund. It took 15/20 mins for Wes to contact me back with an update. Thank you so much Wes for your prompt response. I am happy with outcome."

"Location is perfect. Unfortunately employees were not as courteous as they were supposed to. A little bit rude and never smiling. Food at the bistro was expensive and not good at all. Flatbread was super greasy. Rooms need an update, it was dirty but we were so exhausted we didn’t even complain. They accommodated our early check in and check out which it was a plus."

"Called to cancel our reservation after my company changed plans. I was put on hold multiple times by a rude woman who was clearly having a bad day and not happy with her job, and she claimed to have canceled it when I requested. I went with my instincts, hours later and checked it myself and confirmed she deliberately did not cancel it and lied to me, hoping i would not catch it and be charged. So I cancelled it myself on the website in just a few clicks. It wasn't hard but her attempt to be vindictive does not represent Marriott. I called in at 5PM feb/05/24 and spoke to "Denise," I will not be returning to Marriott. Shouldn't hire miserable people, now she can be embarrassed about her actions."

"As soon as we walked in the lady at the front desk was super nice. She offered us a bottle of water and was just very friendly. I slept like a King. I loved that the flat screen swung out for better viewing. Everything was very clean. I used the gym and they had a lot of dumbbells in there including a bench and treadmills. The price was also outstanding and I felt very safe. They had a cute little restaurant but you had to pay and that I thought was pretty pricey, hence the 4 stars instead of 5."

"When we got our initial room it wasn't as good looking as the pictures. Also there was a big roach in the room. When we told the front desk they switched our rooms. The second room was nicer but it had a bit of a smell. The toilet got clogged and we asked if someone could come unclog it or if we could have a plunger and they tried to switch our room again. Finally someone just gave us a plunger. Overall the service was decent the rooms could've been better."
