The Terrace Hotel Lakeland, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

"We were invited to a Birthday Party in the Terrace Ballroom. It was so intimate, (70 of us), beautiful chandeliers lit it up and the entryway to it was set up with freshly made iced tea, orange juice and coffee with a lovely charcuterie board to welcome the guests. Inside a bar with mimosas and various flavored champagne clad with wait staff that made all of us feel valued. Quiche, crescent rolls and replenished trays of food were loaded with fine breakfast dinings. It was such a great experience. My husband and I look forward to coming back again to dine at the restaurant on a date night. I only wish I had taken pictures of the food to show others how well laid out everything was. I was just having too much fun! Come to the Terrace! You won’t regret your decision to eat or stay overnight there."

"It's a nice place in a good location. Staff is friendly and helpful. As a Hilton Honors member I was a little disappointed that I wasn't upgraded to a suite like I've been at every other Hilton property. The standard room's are smaller than I expected, but considering they are celebrating their 100th birthday this year I'm sure things were much different back then. I travel to Lakeland monthly for work and will give them a second chance. If I I'm not able to get an upgrade I'll probably start staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in the future. Nothing against the property, just expect and enjoy the perks of being a long time Hilton Honors member. Oh, and was a little disappointed that the room didn't have a microwave. I'm sure it's not a deal breaker for many people, not really for me either, but after a long day of traveling due to canceled and delayed flights it would have been nice to be able to heat up my food before I ate it. Don't listen to me though, there a lot of great reviews, just not sure it's the right property for me."

"We visit the hotel just to get an experience of what downtown Lakeland was like and it was a fabulous experience. The hotel was very nice, and the staff was even better. Early in the morning Matt (the valet driver) notice that it was pouring rain outside. We self-parked our car but he helped assist our family regardless of the condition. The elevators were a little small, but they were manageable."

"For the prices, I was disappointed. We had to wait for about 15 minutes to be seated. Even tho our table was empty. Limited menu. I ordered the pasta dish that had cheese and garlic. It was pasty and luck warm when delivered. Also ordered the creamed spinach. Good taste, but luke warm. Maybe their steaks are their biggest. My husband had the scallops. Said they were OK. They were to have Christmas carols( the reason we went). They were there, but only heard two songs, which sounded Muffled. No microphones. At any rate, I won't be back. I did love the decorations and lighting."

"The reason I gave it a 4 star is my husband and I went to take showers and the water temp was barely warm. Also, we took our suitcase to the car then went to eat breakfast and they checked us out of our room, even though we had requested a late check out of 2:00 pm. Other than those two reasons the hotel is very nice and in a great location. Close to a lot of restaurants, bars and shopping. Right around the corner from where the farmers market is on Saturday. The room was very nice looking out on the lake lit up with Christmas decorations."
