Hyatt Place Tampa/Busch Gardens

"Nice and very spacious rooms. Good location, with a few restaurants nearby. The hotel has a free shuttle to Busch Gardens - that you have to book a flight which was convenient. The only very disappointing thing was breakfast. There is very limited choice, we only managed to eat the cereal and the waffles you make yourself. It can get very busy at times and everyone wants to make waffles ( only 2 waffle machines) so it might take a while. Besides that, the staff were nice and friendly and very helpful. The hotel is very convenient for the purpose."

"Visited the hotel to tour local Tampa colleges. I was very disappointed. I love pets but am allergic to dogs. There was a strong smell in the hallway and it was apparent that pets had been there. Unfortunately, I was unaware during the booking process that it was a pet friendly hotel. I was never given an opportunity to select a room that was not pet friendly when reserving or upon arrival. The dander in my room was causing my allergies to flare up horribly. After multiple complaints to the staff, I was told that I can change my room, but would probably run into the same issue due to limited availability. The carpet in the room had several stains and obviously wasn’t cleaned well. They were not very accommodating NOR were the people at the front desk understanding or friendly. Having stayed at Hyatt in the past, I was very surprised and disappointed. Although the location of this facility is convenient to local universities, I would NOT recommend staying there unless you’re traveling with your pet and don’t have many alternatives. The breakfast they provided was satisfactory, but overall the accommodations were definitely not worth the nightly cost. Surprisingly parking was not included and there was a daily fee of $12."

"Location is good. Room is in horrible conditions shows signs of heavy wear.Free breakfast was bare minimum with no labels on some items.Definitely not the Hyatt standard.Main entrance door makes loud noise when opening probably bad rollers same as room bathroom enclosure. What really pissed me off is the parking fee for their parking lot on the premises with no other option. To park. If you are charging to park.on your compound your service must be excellent which in this case is not.Also.lack.of trash cans at entrance to hotel.Busted sofa cushions . The room is worst than an economy hotel"

"Stayed here for a basketball tournament and to see family from out of town! Location was accessible and nice to have Wawa next door. Went to Busch Gardens one day and made it so convenient. Bree greeted us w her friendly, beautiful smile and was extremely helpful! Our rooms were clean, the AC was cold and the beds were comfortable. No issues which was so relieving, as most other stays have had some sort of issue. All of the staff and housekeeping were professional, helpful and attentive. The parking app was easy to use. I loved having my room key in my wallet on my phone, made life easier. And to top off an already AMAZING experience, I got home to realize I had left my brand new Apple Watch in the room we checked out of. I was devastated. I called and spoke to Maria who called me back to say housekeeping had in fact found my watch and turned it in. It was a nice man with dreads who had cleaned our room. I came the next morning and they had it for me. I'm so grateful there are so many amazing people still in this world. The staff of this hotel was the best I had experienced in a long time. Very impressed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking."

"I have to say this was excellent service! Room was super clean (no odors), comfortable and functional. Daily breakfast is so good and it has everything for everyone (eggs, sausage, bread, bagels, cereals, fruit and yogurt). Even waffles made fresh! Excellent! Will highly recommend"
