Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Northwest-Oldsmar, an IHG Hotel

"The rooms are updated and very modern like. It was cozy and in a great location. Breakfast was plus. Only complaint is the restroom needs a vent for when someone stinks it up."

"We spent over 30 days here recently. The employees are all very nice especially desk clerks. The lobby and rooms are tastefully decorated. They play a nice variety of music in lobby. The pool is nice and heated. The breakfast is great except for the days when a certain man ran it. He literally would let EVERY SINGLE ITEM GO EMPTY. Breakfast would still have more than an hour to go and just nothing. He gave zero cares.I complained and not a whole lot of effort there to fix it. Hotel was quiet for most part sans your typical rude guests who think they are at home and talk in hallways and by elevators loud as hell. When big groups were there for kids sports it was awful. Kids and parents literally took over the hotel for 3 days like they owned it and nothing was done to curtail it making it unpleasant and unfair for other paying guests. The rooms were kept quite clean. Bed comfort not too bad. Problems there were your more than typical black dirty carpets. We stayed in a couple of different rooms and some of the carpets were super sticky. Our shoes stuck to carpet mostly throughout the whole room(s). The Dove brand amenities were a problem depending on room. From being filled with a lesser product or filled with water or the wrong item in said bottle to just being flat out empty. A couple times I washed my hair with body wash/soap. Just use your own stuff. The worst part was the bed bug infestation in one room and it wasn't from us. We were bit up bad in our sleep. They itched. Were ugly. Took the whole 14 days to go away. We were offered a different room but declined because by then it was too late. The front desk manager then made sure our sheets were changed every day and that seemed to stop the problem. I was very dissapointed and dismayed when the hotel manager never reached out to us about the incident after he was made aware. Realize we could have sued for damages and won. Hotels are extremely obligated by law to have zero bed bugs. Do better."

"Update: Caleb, one of the managers contacted us shortly after to reach out and apologize and made us a few offers to make things right. That was excellent service from the business. Its only been a couple hours being checked in. Came back to my room to discover termites/ants crawling over the counter in the “suite” near the sink and coffee maker. Mentioned this to the front desk and got an apology and was moved to a different room down the hall. Have to move all my and my family’s belongings. We settle in and its discovered that the bathroom door does not lock properly. Its a kind of inconvenience when you are traveling as a family of 5. The TV / Remote does not allow you to change the source to HDMI to stream on my device. The Lobby also has a very strong fragrance which can trigger nausea and headaches. I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express the 3 nights prior in Orlando and had a much better experience. I chose this hotel thinking the same but it just didnt happen. . Although it appears it’s a recently remodeled hotel."

"I travel for work, and have stayed at multiple holiday inn express hotels, as well as many other brand hotels. This is by far my favorite. Excellent location, clean and up to date rooms, and an amazing breakfast. While all those amenities make for an amazing stay, the best feature of this hotel is the night front desk gentleman named Daniel. He greets me every night and welcomes me, some nights I even sit in the lobby and converse with him. He is a perfect example of an exemplary employee. He goes above and beyond his duties to accommodate our stay."

"Completely renovated, excellently clean room, and we slept in a first floor suite for a very good price. I visited with my family of 4. Comfortable beds and quiet throughout. A much needed rest from a long drive, with a welcoming and spacious interior, modern comforts, and the hotel is easy to find."
