The Pearl Hotel

"My experience at Spa Pearl was downright bizarre! For context, my husband and I were staying down the road on 30A and thought a couples massage would be the perfect way to end our trip. We love getting massages and probably get about 10 a year, anywhere from deluxe at the Four Seasons to a small, local boutique place - all that to say, I know experiences and amenities vary - but the Pearl was truly unlike anything I've experienced. After being greeted in the hotel lobby, we made our way to the elevators where we saw a large sign saying the spa was under construction and temporarily located on the 3rd floor. This was immediately disappointing in the sense that I had been on the website and spoken to several individuals on the phone and no one had made mention of the fact that the spa was not in its usual form, but they were charging (what I assume are) regular prices. (The website did have a pop-up immediately when you went to their site stating the Pool Deck and Havana Beach Rooftop were closed through the spring). (*If I did pay a discounted price, that should be well stated so that I know you are compensating for your lousy spa experience.) Anyway, back to the lobby - I thought - well, maybe they will still WOW! us considering how nice the hotel appears and the general aesthetic of 30A. Hold on tight. We were brought to a makeshift hotel room that had a few massage tables propped up in the center. We were called back 2 minutes before our service and instructed to change and lay on the table - no robe, no slippers, no relaxing sitting area, no dreamy spa music. I hurried to change, seeing as I had 2 minutes... and got on the table. The massage itself was average at best and not anywhere near the quality I have experienced at similar hotels. There is really nothing more to say about it other than I was relieved I only booked a 50 minute service, instead of longer - not really the feeling you want when paying for a $170 service. The most bizarre part of the experience is that my massage therapist wore gloves throughout the service. Now, I realize you do not have a visual of me, but I am a mid-30s, well kept, fit individual, with nice, clean skin. There is absolutely no reason for her to wear gloves - and it made for quite a distracting experience due to the... texture and weird noise. When I was laying on my back, she used a folded up pillow case to cover my eyes. These things are just WEIRD! Like, where are the very basics? When we wrapped up, I asked if I could use the restroom - where I found a Costco size jug of Dawn dishsoap to use as a handsoap. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place. If I received a gift card here, I would enthusiastically throw it in the dumpster. See ya never!"

"Amazing place right in the center of Rosemary beach. Did not stay there but had a drink for the sunset and it did not disappoint those were some of the most beautiful colours we saw! Margaritas were great too"

"From the moment Robert the Front Desk Manager met us at our car upon arrival , through our departure today, everything was perfect. Apparently his warm, and friendly , attitude sets the tone for the hotel, because everyone was pleasant and had an “ yes I’ll find a way” persona. The location is spectacular, and Rosemary Beach is so vibrant. The Pearl is right in the middle of the action, and we can’t wait to revisit. Well done !"
