"Just like they said it’s quite nice. Old timey charm. Check in at ivy hotel. I like the loud ac good to drown out traffic noise or whatever else. Cute little town."
"I stayed at Captain's Table as a base-camp prior to camping in the Everglades Nat Park. This hotel is excellent for so many reasons: The staff are incredible and helpful, the location is excellent for access to the Glades, and the rooms are inviting, clean, comfortable and make for a great stay. The staff here were so helpful, from pre-reservation when I called to discuss my travel plans and request more information, to check-in and check-out, just above and beyond and so friendly. I believe it was Brittany, and Debbie who I spoke with and they were awesome and helpful! I booked here with plans to stay one night, then head out with an Ivy House kayak rental to camp on some of the keys in the Glades. I was checked in super easy, given some great information on Everglades City, and given some great local dinner suggestions by Brittany - which I thoroughly enjoyed. The next morning I was slated to go on a Kayak tour and pick up my Kayak rental for camping. Debbie was so helpful in pointing me to Dylan - who runs Ivy House tours and rentals (SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)- and I got all my questions answered When it turned out that I shouldn't kayak out due to timing, I came back and stayed another night - everyone was inviting and wonderful! Highly recommended as a base-camp for exploring the north portion of the Everglades! Everyone is so awesome and it's a one-stop-shop for a good stay, kayak and boat rentals, and tours. Super highly recommended"
"We arrived late in the evening and checked in down the road, where we were helped by a lovely lady who gave us great tips on where to get dinner and what to do in the area. Room was newly renovated, clean and convenient. The renovation was not done totally professionally (from an OCD German perspective ;-)) but we were still very happy with our room. We didn't need to turn on the AC, which was good as it was in fact a little loud when it ran. Overall, we would definitely come back to this lovely little Motel."
"This review is for Room 216, stayed one night, good value for the area. Good location for visiting the west side of the Everglades. Check in was at a different building down the road but I didn't see that as a problem at all. Good size room, comfy bed, spacious enclosed patio plus a small open patio on this second floor room. Nice view of sunset in the evening from the patio since this room was on the west end of the building. Good shower pressure, good towels, but I could not get a consistent water temp in the shower - it kept switching between too hot and too cold - probably a broken mixing valve. Good parking, there was hardly anyone here this time of year (July). No breakfast but there is a small grocery store across the street and plenty of nearby restaurants. Pool looked nice, I did not have time to use it."
