"Let me start by saying that if I'd only needed a place to crash for the night on a road trip, this hotel would've been fine. However, I travel to this area on business quite a bit and have stayed at several hotels in the same price point. This one simply didn't meet the standards of some of the others. Free breakfast was nice. Selection was a bit limited, but more than adequate. Hotel was recently renovated and clean, but my room still had that smell of 20-year-old cigarette smoke lingering. Plus the toilet had a lot of rust stains (but it worked, which is the important thing!). The bathroom was a nice size, but the water never got past lukewarm. It was pretty chilly outside, so a hot shower would've been nice. Thankfully the thermostat and heater in the room worked great. The day before I checked out, the elevator broke. Unlike other hotels nearby, this hotel only has one elevator. Not a problem if you're on the first floor or only have one small bag. (I wasn't, and I didn't.) Not sure how long it took them to fix it, but it definitely didn't get fixed by checkout the next day. Staff was friendly at check-in and check-out, but every other time I walked past the front desk, there was nobody there. First world problems, I know. But next time, I'll stay at a different hotel."

"I came in panicking. (Without a reservation) My daughter was having an asthma attack . And I asked if i could give her a nebulizer breathing treatment….and the lovely lady at the front desk emphatically said yes of course!!! And all I have to say is small acts of kindness and compassion made a world of difference."

"Additional benefits: Lollygagger's restaurant in walking distance...or a pizza place that delivers or a small selection of microwave dinners for sale along with other snacks. A bottle of water in the room. Friendly staff... east parking and the rooms are clean & spacious."
