"Update: Been attempting to get my last appointment records and images sent to my new imaging facility since making my last review. Bowes still has not sent them even though the new imaging facility has requested it 3 times. Meanwhile I can't be seen for my final appointment to clear me of possible breast cancer because they are not sending the requested documents and images. I plan to escalate to the appropriate authorities if not sent next by end of the week. #Blacklivesmatter #MedicalRacism **************** Bowes Imaging on Cortez Rd., Bradenton, left me feeling disappointed today. I have been a customer for many years. The last 2 years I was going every 3-6 months getting a diagnostic mammogram and a diagnostic ultrasound due a something found on my beast. Tomorrow 2/8/24 @ 8:30 am was supposed to be my last f/u diagnostic mammogram and diagnostic ultrasound. I changed employers and although my benefits have started I haven't received my FSA card in the mail. So I asked to pay a partial amount on the $400 plus deductible and then return once I have my card (this week or next week) to pay off the balance, that was at 4pm. I was told the person that handles the billing/insurance would call me back as she just stepped out of her office but was returning. No one called back so at 7:19 I called back, and was told that person had left for the day. I expressed my disappointment in the customer service from a company I trusted. I advised to cancel my appointment and I would reschedule at a different imaging company and I planned to make some reviews expressing my disappointment. At 7:43 pm I get a voice message l from Melissa the Office Manager stating there prices are a low as they could go and they can't do a payment plan. I called Melissa back and advised her I had already cancelled the appointment and I never asked the price be lowered or to make a payment plan. Again this shows the lack of active listening skills and customer service. Melissa should of spoked to me prior to leaving a voice mail because her understanding of what I inquired was completely wrong. As a Social Worker that is something I would never have done. I hope this review leads to better training of staff."

"Had prior history of a blood clot in my left leg and was sent to this clinic from my doctor for an ultrasound on the same leg because I was experiencing sharp pain. Based on the results from this lab, my doctor told me there was no indication of a blood clot in my leg. Three days later, my leg is still hurting and becomes unbearable to walk. Ended up being recommended to the ER, and they did in fact confirm it was a blood clot with their ultrasound. Would’ve been nice to have gotten this positive blood clot result at Bowes and on blood thinners then as now I’m down $1600. The caveat of this place is their staff are friendly as was the technician that treated me."

"I've been going to Bowes for several years now. Matt has a wonderful facility and has amazing techs! My last visit I had to have a diagnostic procedure done. Prior to this I was passed off a lot by facilities and old staff members. I did talk to someone named Flo and she was amazing and did everything she could to help fix the issue. The three mammogram techs I had were extremely kind and caring, they did everything they could do to make me comfortable considering the situation. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. This is a very clean facility and they do their very best to make you comfortable! I highly recommend Bowes imaging center!"

"I was referred to Bowes by my chiropractor for an xray as I have been having issues with my sciatica. The facility was clean and easy to access. My tech Maddy was absolutely amazing I felt that she was very thorough with my X-Ray. Shout out to Melissa for coordinating my insurance and getting back with me about payment. The front desk girls were friendly despite being so busy, they checked me in and made sure I got into my appointment and at the end of the day that's all that matters for me! I just feel that there are people coming in for all different types of reasons so a friendly demeanor and patience goes a long way. I work the front desk so I know how it gets. 5 stars! nice work!"
