"After being a customer for 8 years, I received a quote from another agency. Contacted Miranda Wood to see what Brightway could do. My premiums more than doubled in the 8 years I was with them. She berated me for having the gall to talk to another insurance agency, then quoted me with a Citizens policy. I’m not sure why anyone would choose to go with Citizens if they had another choice, so i asked for her to avoid them. I also went back and forth on cash value vs replacement cost. When I asked for the quote with replacement cost, she informed me that she had gone "above and beyond" (??? Berating me for looking for competitive pricing, then doing your job, and not doing it particularly well??) I believe she knew she was losing the business so rather than being professional and finishing the quote, she basically said I could take my current policy or leave it. Then, after I changed agencies, I got phone calls and emails from Brightway with quotes wanting my business! I have never dealt with anyone so unprofessional in the insurance industry before. Horrible customer service and completely unprofessional! Their response below, saying Miranda was not unprofessional in her emails reflects poorly on the agency as a whole. Not surprising since I believe she owns the agency. Her initial response was to berate and scold me for getting quotes from other agencies - the entire tone of our conversation started out with her being entirely unprofessional and extremely immature.. Glad I found a more professional (and less expensive) option with another agency!"
