"My daughter is 17 and has autism. We have gone to the practice for 15 years. We have never had an issue. This past visit we saw Dr. Miller in the Boca office for a physical and one shot. When my daughter became anxious, there was very little assistance from the nurse or Dr. I was left in the room myself. I spoke with my daughter, calmed her and got her ready to do the shot. I informed them we were ready. The nurse came in and just said "ok lets do this, I have other patients to see. " This excellerated her anxiety. She said she "needed a minute" and the nurse said I don't have time for this. Walked out. Then the doctor informed us they wouldn't vaccinate because it was dangerous to the nurse if my daughter was anxious. Hopefully the office will provide some professional development regarding special needs patients and how to accommodate. I spoke with office manager who was very frustrated to hear our appt was not successful. She assured us that when we return to try again she will pair us with a nurse who is more patient and understanding. The office manager seemed very sincere."
"I can truly say she is one of the best doctors who actually cares about her patients. If you want a warm hearted mother like type of physician then she is your go to doctor. She is very patient and really does take her time to spend with you and your child and she never rushes you during your visit. When I delivered my baby she came to see him each and everyday early morning as I was never used to that in my past. But if I could give her 10 stars I would. She is very much appreciated. Great MD!!!!!!"
