"I wanna give this place 0.5 stars but the psychiatrist I have here is actually nice and is willing to talk..however this place is highly unprofessional and just reeks of low budget. The therapist I was seeing made me do nothing but crosswords/word search/ number versions of those two. What kind of therapy is that?! I went for six sessions and after that I called to see if we were gonna do anything else..surprise surprise if I kept going we would've just done more word search! Not only that but the rooms they have you in are tiny. So after we switched therapist and we went for our first appointment the new therapist says we have to wait 1-2 more hours after my dad left work to take me there. Absolutely would never recommend anyone this place. Update: as if this place couldn't get any worse lol, the old man psychiatrist lied to my dads face saying he needed to pay for some papers and that he couldn't do anything about the medication getting there late..however I no longer go here and my new psychiatrist was able to do both of these things without a problem, this place is the worst if you're taking your kid here leave as fast as you can."

"I've spent the last month trying to get an appointment with Dr. Lopez. The first time someone calls me, it's not him - some random guy that was doing an assessment on me. I wasn't informed. The guy tells me to make an appointment with Dr. Lopez... that's what I thought I was doing. Whatever, I let it slide. I finally get my appointment with Dr. Lopez... I get the face time call... it's a lady. A nurse practitioner. Are you serious? And on top of that, mid way through my appointment I realize SHE HAS SOMEONE ELSE IN THE ROOM WHILE IM SPEWING ABOUT MY PERSONAL LIFE???? HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. I'm MORE than positive that's against HIPAA. Ridiculous. I'm upset and frustrated. Never coming back to this place, I feel completely violated."

"If I could give this place NO STARS, I would. I was referred to Homestead Behavioral when CHI lost their pediatric psychiatrist. I have a severely mentally ill child, and this place had bad reviews, so I was already weary. Unfortunately, it was the only place I could find on such short notice that took my son’s insurance, so I had no other option. The first view visits went okay. The ARNP actually seemed concerned about my son. But one day when my son was having a mental breakdown, I called Homestead Behavioral telling them I was on my way over there, and that I needed them to have my son baker acted. I was put on hold, and the woman returned and said, “I spoke to our supervisor and she said not to bring him here. You need to bring him to a crisis unit.” Great. Okay. I got the address of the crisis unit and looked it up. IT WAS 45 MINUTES AWAY!!!! Not even five minutes into the drive, my son was punching me and trying to turn my steering wheel to make us crash. LUCKILY, I passed a cop on the side of the road because a school was letting out, so I pulled over and they took my son to a crisis unit. When he got out of the crisis unit, he was sent home with only 14 days of medication. I was to get it refilled with his regular psychiatrist. I went to the appointment on 11/28, which was at 10AM. I arrived at 9:30. By 11, he still wasn’t seen, and I was told that there were still three people ahead of him. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Am I supposed to sit in a waiting room for three hours with a 9-year-old with ADHD and two toddlers!? I walked out. Since then, I have been trying to get his medication refilled with no help from their office. They had no other appointments available, and kept telling me, “Call tomorrow to see if we have any cancellations.” I did that for several days, but they never had any cancellations. By then, my son was out of medication completely. Now I am calling their office, being left on hold for extreme amounts of time, getting hung up on, getting disconnected. Yesterday I was on hold and then disconnected because the office apparently closed, because when I called right back, I got the answering service. I explained to her what was going on and she said she would get the message out so I would get a call back. That call never came. Today I called AGAIN and told them I was supposed to get a call back and never did, that my son was out of medication, and I needed a two week supply to last him until the next available appointment they had. I was told a supervisor would call me back. An hour later, still no call, so I called back. I was left on hold, yet again, and then disconnected, yet again. I called back and the woman said she spoke to the supervisor and the supervisor said they could not give a two week supply, and he would not get refills until he was seen on the 18th. I asked to speak to the supervisor myself and was put on hold. After about 8 minutes of holding, I gave up and hung up. Today is the 6th. My son’s appointment is supposed to be the 18th. He has already been out of medication for two days, and now, he will be out for 12 more days. THESE ARE ANTIPSYCHOTIC MEDICATIONS. YOU CANNOT JUST ABRUPTLY STOP THEM LIKE THAT. MY SON IS GOING TO FALL APART AND END UP HOSPITALIZED BECAUSE OF THIS DISGUSTING PLACE. YOU ALL HAVE THAT ON YOUR CONSCIENCE, AND I WILL BE REPORTING THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be going elsewhere, to a place that actually cares about the WELLBEING of the CHILDREN they tend to. EDIT: REPLY TO OWNER'S RESPONSE. Firstly, NONE of my son's meds are a controlled substance. The fact that your business thinks they are a controlled substance proves that you people are clearly not qualified to work in this field. I can't believe I left my child's care in your hands when you don't even know what meds are and are not a controlled substance. Wow! Second, no one, especially someone this young, should be abruptly taken off of their meds. That is straight up negligence on your part, and as I said, you WILL be reported. Third, no patient should be hung up on or left on hold that long."

"This is by far the worse place I have ever been to. Made an appointment 30 days in advance, got to the place an hour early and was waiting for nearly 5 hours before I got up and left. The entire staff was having their good old time on a Friday. People that arrived hours after me were let in. Requested to see a supervisor and it seems that there is no supervisors at this place as no one ever came to see me."

"This place is ridiculous. I mad eat appointment for my son to be seen. I had my parents pick him up from school early. Had my husband leave work early early his appointment was at 3pm they arrive at 2:45 to get the paperwork done and I'm informed that they can not. That only I can fill out his paperwork since I was the one who made the appointment. I leave my job 3 1/2 hours early to rush from Kendallville with crazy traffic for him to be seen that when I arrive my son and husband are outside saying we have to reschedule. I'm sorry this is extremely unprofessional. I lost 3hrs from work, had my child removed from school early and my husband also left early. Not even an apology is given for this. I will not reschedule thanks for wasting my time and money."
