"I don't know the name of the man who was assigned to be my physical therapist, but his behavior was APPALLING. Here's a tip to everyone: if you meet someone with a serious illness, let's say, for example, Multiple Sclerosis. Unless you are this person's neurologist, they really don't care to hear your opinions, especially your asinine stories about your anecdotal evidence that you can TOTALLY "cure" MS with diet. It's ignorant, not remotely the place of a physical therapist to make such an assertion, and deeply insulting to me and others who suffer through this disease that absolutely CANNOT be cured at this point in time, particularly with diet and exercise. I almost walked out of the visit at that exact moment, honestly. Wish I could remember his name, but my MS gives me short term memory problems. Older gentleman, white hair and white beard, completely rude and unprofessional. He might as well have told me to pray over crystals to cure my disease. His ignorance and unwanted terrible advice set the tone for an awful encounter all around. The other therapist, a woman, accused me of "making up exercise" when in actuality, I was confuse dand didn't remember it correctly BECAUSE I HAVE SHORT TERM MEMORY PROBLEMS. Then they proceeded to hover around me and I honestly just couldn't take it anymore, by the time I was having a full-fledged panic attack. That man who tried to sell me MS snake oil diet advice should be FIRED. I never say this but honestly, to the owners of this business, you should at least severely reprimand him. NO SICK PERSON WANTS TO HEAR SOME LAYMAN DEAL OUT AWFUL MEDICAL ADVICE HE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO SPEAK ON. It is DEEPLY insulting to hear someone casually tell you that your illness is just a figment of poor eating habits. That's not how MS works. That's not how any of this works. So yeah, come to this place if you like aggressively awful medical advice and rude therapists. Otherwise, try somewhere else. EDIT: This reply from the owner is a classic non-apology. "I am sorry you feel this way." or "It wasn't his intention to offend" are passive statements that do not take responsibility for the awful advice unwelcome judgment from your provider. EDIT 2: I emailed them after this response. Been ghosted. The assertion that they would like to make this up to me is bunk, just like the advice of a Physical Therapist telling me to stop taking brain-saving medication. EDIT 3; two weeks and my emails have been ignored by this practice. They claimed here publicly that they wanted to make this right, but that was a lie. I am left with no choice but to report this to the state licensing board as well as Medicare/my insurance company."
