When asked for an itemized receipt got yelled at and told to "call in a couple of days." At the consultation with Dr. Edelman: After I gave my reasons not to do krystexxa, ( treatment cost over $40k per monthly which "may be covered partially by insurance") and according to krystexxa information package, the treatment is 6-12 months to reduce the uric acid level. Regardless, that my last blood test shows my uric acid under 6, the target for gout prompt patients, Dr. Edelman continued to push the treatment and refused to continue the treatment that have been keeping my pain levels tolerable. Sad and frustrating to see what the health care system has become. Profit over care."

"Dr Edelman is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Her and her staff work with my other doctors and insurance company to get me the best treatment plan. I lost coverage for a few months and ended up in the hospital and she made a surprise visit! When I told her what happened, she told me that she would have preferred to work with me and provide samples and get me enrolled in patient assistance programs than to allow my condition to flare up.
