"I took my husband for his birthday along with my granddaughter. We ordered from the dinner menu. I saw a cart being pushed around, but didn’t know what it was. It was our first time dining there. I ordered shrimp and scallops. The scallops tasted fishy. They immediately took care of the problem. The chef even came out and he called the distributor. They were very kind and attentive and the food was delicious! I am looking forward to our next visit. I think next time I’m going to sample different tastes from the cart. I highly recommend this restaurant. I guess it’s not called yummy House for nothing"

"The portions are very good for the prices. This was the best chinese food ive ever had honestly. I love they dont put onions in the fried rice- usually a special request is required. The orange chicken was also the best ive ever had."

"Overall yummy house was good but not my favorite Asian place in Gainesville. I got the hometown style rice noodles and it was ok, there was more than enough noodles but there could have been a bigger serving size of meat. Our food came out pretty quickly but other than that service was okay. My friend got the house lo mein and she thought it was fairly good, we also got the egg rolls as an appetizer and those were really good. I went again and got the spicy yummy chicken which I really don’t recommend, it was wayyy too salty and doughy. My friends got the house fried rice and that looked a lot better."

"Heard many good reviews about this place and decided to try. The menu was extensive and also serves dim sum on weekend lunch. Ordered their signature fried rice and the spicy chicken. The fried rice has zero wok-hei (smoky flavour resulting from caramelisation of sugars, maillard reactions, and smoking of oil) that is expected at any decent Chinese restaurant serving fried rice. The ingredients and portion are decent for $12. The chicken is a serious letdown, flour batter is thick and soggy because they used the wrong flour and the chicken has been prefried and left out for a long time, oily and plain lazy way of cooking. The dim sum like siew Mai is acceptable with meaty filling, not dry and good flavour. Service is perfunctory and atmosphere is stale, surprisingly empty for weekend lunch. Is this the best Chinese food in Gainesville?"

"This is one of the best restaurants in Gainesville! Each dish portion is big enough to share so this makes it a great restaurant to try with a group of friends. Word of warning one soup will feed like 5-8 people! Anything on the menu made with their black bean sauce will be delicious. This is one of their signature sauces. We had the shrimp and scallops with mushrooms in the black bean sauce and it did not disappoint! The House Rice is also a favorite of ours. Get a group of friends and enjoy trying new things!"
