"I absolutely love this restaurant. It is my favorite place in Lakeland! The service is amazing! The food is always amazing! I love everything about it! First time trying scallops and they were good! My husband and I celebrated of anniversary and they did not disappoint!!"

"My friends and I came here on Friday night. 2 have been here many times two of us (myself being one) were coming for the first time. We were celebrating our friend who is getting married in a few weeks. I had messaged them on Facebook to see about personalizing the menu like I saw on other posts. Chef Marco himself replied quickly. He also went on to give us recommendations of things to try! When we got there they gave us each a glass of complementary champagne. We all enjoyed a few apps we shared. Two of us had the Churrasco Steak and two had Ropa Veija all of us got a side 1961 salad. Then we each had dessert 3 Crème Brulé and 1 had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart. It was all amazing. They never once made us feel rushed. We enjoyed our time together and the food we had. So glad we chose Nineteen61 for our celebration for the bride to be!"

The delivery of the food was spot on and the came out hot! The service waiter made sure our drinks were always topped off and the made sure we had everything we need. I will come back here!"

"1961 is my favorite restaurant in all of Lakeland. They have a wonderful combination of excellent service food and atmosphere. My favorite menu item is the rotisserie chicken which is spectacular. Its moist and flavorful with a crispy skin. I usually combine it with the fried plantains and house 1961 side salad. If you look at the pictures i shared of the plantains and you can see they are perfectly fried with a slight hint of blackened edge. Just wonderful. Well enough about the food. As described wonderful as always. Larissa our server was outstanding. Her warm personality and insight into the menu preparation and recommendations made a great meal into an outstanding experience. I heartily recommend you try 1961 if you havent had the chance yet."
