"It's not the place that Steak and Shake used to be. You order at a kiosk, not to a waitperson, and pick up your food when called. It's more efficient, I suppose, but not as friendly. The range of shakes is also much reduced: just the standards like chocolate and vanilla, no mocha or mint, but with "stuff" in it (chocolate chips, crumbled cookie bits, etc., which I personally detest). But the rest of the menu is familiar, and just as high quality as always. The burgers and shoestring fries are great. I'm still a fan, but I miss the old style, and I wish they'd reconsider the change."

"For The last couple years, Steak ‘n Shake quality has steadily gone down. The burger patty’s are no longer seared at all, I honestly could believe they’re boiling them lol. Ever since they reduced the menu size the quality has gone downhill so fast and I’ve asked others about this and they agree"

"How difficult is it to make a fresh grilled cheese with tomatoes? Obviously this place cannot fulfill a simple classic meal. The bread was old, stale and cold. Its like they had this sandwich sitting out all morning and then threw tomatoes in it and served it to me. Very sloppy and just yuck. I asked for well done fresh fries and was given old ones. Waste of money, and the workers do not care"

"I have visited this location various times and usually they are pretty good. Unfortunately, when I ordered this time (Frisco Melt Meal w/ Onion rings) the order was okay but not great. The frisco melt was good but the onion rings did not taste fresh. The onion rings tasted as if they were made prior to me ordering. The staff was good and had the meal ready quickly."

"It’s not the same place since they changed over to a diner but it’s really good no matter what and I thoroughly enjoyed actually going. I miss a lot of the waitresses, and I miss the fact that they no longer serve breakfast, which was believe it or not one of my most favorite things about this location and the Steak ‘n Shake brand. And they always had really good sweet tea and extremely large cups that you could take to go, which made a real difference. Gonna miss the original steak and shakes but the food is still consistent. It’s still good and it’s still very inexpensive."
