Fire & Knife Pizzeria - Market

"The abundance of five star ratings everywhere you go makes it hard to get a real sense of what is good and what is just ok. Our first time at Fire and Knife Pizza was made based on 28 five-star reviews, so the hopes were high. We honed our order in and the staff here were friendly and polite. The atmosphere was good during the pick up. Both my wife and I felt the pizza was just ok. It seemed a little salty and the crust in the center of the pie was soggy. I think the sprinkle it with parmesan cheese of which I am not a fan. To be fair, this seemed to me to be more of an artistic pizza place which explains why the pictures vary. We ordered an Il Capo and a Carnivore pizza. Both were sized at 16 inches which is a little large for us, but you cannot get them in a smaller size. They smelled fantastic, but the flavor just wasn't there. I will definitely go back because one visit is not a fair evaluation. I think next time I will stick to a classic pepperoni for a better measure of pizza quality. This review is based on this visit and I will of course update it after the next one. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what I expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special whether it was service, food, staff, etc., and a 5 means I was blown away.  A 2 star rating was disappointing with no offer to correct the experience and a 1-star rating was terrible"

"What a pleasant surprise was get to know this newly opened pizzeria!! Is a family operation with Cat ( daughter) on the front they did so much to accommodate our unique family needs although they are mostly takeout with limited space to dine inn but we had the best experience and best pizza, not to mention the delicious salad with balsamic house made dressing! thank you for the awesome service will be back"

"Fire and knife is a must try !!! Just wow !! The owner and family is so incredibly kind and accommodating and the pizza is just perfect!! We had the Bianca and a classic pizza that they so kindly made margarita style upon our request. This place is made more for a takeout but nonetheless we enjoyed sitting in and chatting with the owner and his daughter."

"Loved this pizza. The crust was not too thin and had just the right bite to it. They were not stingy with toppings either. It is nice to have a gret pizza place nearby. Can't wait to try something else on the menu. We also got an order of cannolis. They were amazing!"
