"30 minutes ago, My husband walked in and ordered two meals To Go. One Fatty Brisket and Pulled Chicken Platter with Cole Slaw & Fries, and a Pulled Pork Sandwich with Cole Slaw & Fries, plus an order of Fried Biscuits. We’ve been to this restaurant several times for dine-in, with no problems except for that fact that they often run out of meat during dinner rush. Tonight, not only did he wait forever for a small order, but Carly, who was working there and who played Manager tonight” straight up lied to my husband about the Brisket. There was zero fat, and it was dry as a bone, like beef jerky, and completely inedible. Also, the Cole Slaw was warm and rotten and the fries were over cooked and cold. When I called to get an explanation, she admitted to lying. She was extremely nasty to me and very snappy. She told me “Sorry that’s all we have”, like I should be grateful for wasting $40 on old nasty food because they didn’t plan ahead. She then called me a Bi%ch for complaining, and yelled at me, telling me to “Never, ever come back to HER Restaurant”. My husband also called to complain about his meal, and told them that we could have gotten food poisoning from the fermented Cole Slaw. This was right after she hung up on me. She is extremely combative and entitled. We had to throw our food away and go pay for a replacement dinner elsewhere. Needless to say, I’ve never been spoken to like that from a place of business, and this behavior was totally unacceptable. My Husband also says there was another customer upset and complaining about them running out of meat as well. This was at 5pm! We will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN, and we will be putting out the word to let people know to stay away from this restaurant! We are also reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and meeting with the Health Department. BUYER BEWARE!"

"Heavy Hitter in the BBQ Game. We’ve been wanting to try this place for the past few years. Our travel and schedule never allowed us to drop-in to try this place, but we saw the open sign; drove to pick up family, and went straight back. We ordered three Brisket Sandwiches that were tender and packed with flavor, and the Ribs were fall-off-the-bone perfect. Not the type you pick up and the meat slides off, but the kind you bite into and don’t have any problems getting all the meat off (the way it’s supposed to be). The appetizers and sides were just as impressive. The Florida Sampler came with Fried Green Tomatoes, Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots, Crispy Fried Okra, and Butter Fried Biscuits. The Fried Biscuits were heavenly – golden and crispy on the outside, with a soft, buttery interior that melts in your mouth. The Fried Green Tomatoes were crispy with a tender bite inside. The Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots were smoky and crunchy and the Fried Okra was just as crispy, plentiful, and delicious. The Collard Greens with Ham Hock had a soulful taste, and the mac 'n cheese was creamy and rich. We couldn't resist taking some food to-go. West ordered a full rack of Ribs, Collard Greens, and Fried Biscuits for a late and midnight snack. Our visit was another culinary experience we won't forget, and we can't wait to come back for more! You can tell they take pride in using quality ingredients and have clearly proven recipes."

"First time and won't be my last. Everything from friendly service to food was excellent!!! I dropped a star for Atmosphere only because there was not a lot of picnic table style seating. I was fortunate the time I stopped it wasn't busy. Super impressed to be asked if I preferred extra lean, lean, or fatty cut of Brisket. I chose fatty and it was perfect!!! Greens with spicy vinegar and Baked Beans were equally as delicious. But wasn't a fan of sweet potatoe bake. Thats ok as theres lots of other options to satisfy me. Can't wait to go back."
