Leonardo's Pizza of Millhopper

"We were looking for a new pizza place to eat in Gainesville and came across this place. Without we would give it a try. We were not disappointed it was very good pizza It's a deep dish style. I was upset about the cost of a domestic beer here for a bottle of beer cost me $7 I could have got a microbrew for less which was $6. This seems backwards to me and a little bit of price gouging for beer if you ask me. Other than that the server was a little goofy but the food was great and the environment and atmosphere were fun and entertaining. We will typically only get a cheese pizza from a new pizza place just so that we can try out the crust and sauce without any other flavors getting in the way. The garlic knots were amazing and quite delicious. You have to get them if you come here. It's mandatory I swear I know it's not written anywhere but it just has to be this way. Hopefully they figure out the beer situation because it'll just be water from here on out otherwise."

"This place was well-recommended by a co-worker, so we ordered takeout for the first time today (Wednesday afternoon)- large cheese pizza well done. Our order was ready in 30 minutes and still very hot. Cost $25 including tip. The inside of the restaurant reminded us of 90s Pizza Hut, wood panels and booth seating. Only a handful of people dining in. The pizza was great. Cooked just right and fresh. Satisfied the pizza craving 100%. We'll be back again when we're in the area :)"

"My first impression as I walked in was that the decor/vibe transported me back to my childhood nostalgia visiting local mom & pop pizza joints. Friendly, inviting customer service. I went for lunch & ordered a few slices as well as the salad bar as a first time customer. Excellent, old fashioned deep dish pizza that is difficult to find this good anymore, anywhere. As I don't know the Gainesville area well, I'm always looking for local restaurants to try. I've traveled all over Florida & the country & this place has some of the best pizza I've had. I imagine ordering an entire pie over some pitchers of cold beer for dinner is probably even better. Garlic knots seem to be big seller as well. If you're looking for some great pizza in a throwback, comfortable environment with friendly service....make sure you stop in. You won't regret it."

"Wow! From the greeting to the “see you later”, this place felt like hanging out with the cool part of your family! The pizza was seriously the best pizza I have ever had. A perfect balance between ingredients to cheese and exactly the right amount of sauce. The crust has just that little bit of crunch at the bottom….man it was so good! The garlic knots…..mouth watering and absolute perfection! Some reviews talk about the “old” feel and it looks “run down”, do not let that stop you from visiting the awesome, local pizza house. I loved the comfy, homey feel of the place. My husband and I felt like we could talk and it wasn’t like we were sharing our conversation with the entire restaurant. Great place you guys! Keep doing what you’re doing and whatever you do, don’t change your decor if you don’t have to! It was so nice to step into your restaurant and feel so welcome!"

"Very good pizza! Just did take out, so was only inside the main entrance, not the dining area, but the pizza is AMAZING. Best Chicago-style pizza outside of chains in/around Orlando. *update 10/06/22* Was able to eat in-store. Had a great experience and definitely suggest that everyone try the garlic knots"
