"The taste is delicious, the food is great but the service was quite lacking. I have no complaints about the atmosphere. It took them 20 minutes to even give me a menu and after I have ordered something, they took the menu away and gave me the bill without even asking if i needed a dessert or anything more. The servers here are the worst and felt like they owned the place"

"The (I’m assuming made-in-house) chips are delicious. We had the grilled mahi mahi taco and fried pickles. I’d order the taco again, but would probably pass on the fried pickles. Good, but not as crispy as I prefer. We sat outside with a view of the ocean, which was obviously lovely. Our server was very kind and attentive."

"I'm 50/50 on this place. My husband got the catch of the day- red snapper- and loved it. It came with corn, rice, hush puppies, and a salad. The corn was really bland even though it looked grilled. He gives his meal 5 stars. I got the grilled chicken sandwich. It really doesn't look or taste grilled. It was bland and had a texture to it, like mabe it just came out of the freezer? Like another review said, the fries taste old and reheated, and seem just warm when they arrived. I give my meal a 1. I didn't even eat it all, I took the chicken back to the hotel to feed to the cats that live there. Aside from food, most of the seating is pretty high. Tall chairs at the tables, and high booths you need to use the step on them to get in or out. Also paper straws. Not a fan. In hugely tall cups. So each sip you need to reach in and pull the straw up. Also for anyone not familiar with the area, this is across the street from Pier Park. If you don't want to parallel park infront of the pier if you can find a spot, it's a lot easier to park at pier park and walk over."

"It's your typical beach fare joint; nothing too fancy or incredible, but really not bad. Prices are really respectable and I thought the service was good. The location is excellent; you can walk right up from the beach. Outdoor seating overlooking the pier and beach is pretty cool."

"Hook'd was pretty good as far as dining in a high traffic tourist area goes. I feel the fried shrip could have used a but more seasoning in the batter. I'm giving the service a three because I had to ask for ketchup three times. They eventually brought it to me me but not before I walked to another table to get it myself. Our server was really nice, and once our order was taken, the food came out quickly. Atmosphere wise, it's great! You can sit outside by the water or inside, and they have all kinds of torches burning for ambiance. I'd come back again."
