LongHorn Steakhouse

"Great somewhat upscale atmosphere. Fantastic service. Everyone from the bartender to the people bringing out food were on point, super friendly and everything ran like clockwork. The sides and drinks were very solid. However I have found in the past that the steaks themselves were never quite as good as good as Texas Roadhouse. Thought that may be different this time since this Longhorn had a better rating than average. Sadly that was not the case. Ordered the Outlaw bone-in ribeye medium rare, and it just wasn’t that great. Had to cut very far into the center of the steak to find an area that could be considered pink enough to be medium rare, so it technically wasn’t cooked incorrectly I guess. Steak was seasoned well but it was generally overdone and very tough in most places. The top especially had a very thick overcooked grey area that was very tough, while the bottom was red to the edge which is a sign of a steak that isn’t cooked evenly. At the end of the day a steakhouse is about the steak and Longhorn just seems to not be able to pull that part off very well. Texas Roadhouse seems to consistently do a decently cooked steak a long more effortlessly. The atmosphere and other food may be good here, but don’t expect to be guaranteed a great experience with your steak."

"The service has greatly improved since my last review submitted a couple of years ago. The new manager and waiters, especially Jeremy, are very friendly and attentive. The weekday lunch specials are delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is fine and there is no loud music. We enjoy going there at least a couple of times a month."

"Had a wonderful dinner here. Jocelyn was our server. She was attentive and super nice! The food was super good. I highly recommend the parmesan chicken for non steak lovers and the sweet potatoes were superb. Thank you, we will definitely come back! The atmosphere was cozy with a western theme. Noise levels were good for conversations. Prices were reasonable for what we got."

"The steak is really good. The salad was fresh and delicious. The potato was perfect. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful. I would recommend cleaning the mop / bucket for the front of restaurant. I could smell mildew when we entered the front of the restaurant. *We almost left. Also the booth had some funk on the wall and in between the wall and the seat."

"I visited here today for my birthday and was slightly let down. It was extremely busy but the wait time was less than 30 minutes. I am glad that we were seated in a timely manner. We were seated without silverware, and constantly had to ask for it. Our drinks came without straws and we had to ask a server from a different table to supply us with some. We ordered our kids food as well as an appetizer before we even placed our orders, the appetizer took forever to come out and our kids meals didn’t come until we placed and received our orders. I asked for medium steak, it came out rare. Sent it back and instead of cooking and bringing me a new steak they brought the same one I had already cut into. It was better this time but it was just a hassle trying to enjoy my meal. I would recommend going to Outback Steakhouse instead."
