"I've lived here for a year and loved it. The townhomes are cozy and the location is close to everything in Dothan. Lawns/bushes are well kept. Pest control is interior one month/exterior the next. One major difference in this place versus other apartments/rentals is that they don't make unannounced visits - quarterly checks are posted by letter so you know when to expect them. I haven't run into any major issues during my stay. The only time I've had to call them was during a move-in installation issue, and they came out within the hour. Amanda Owens is one of the best property managers I've dealt with in a rental. Only reason I'm leaving is to save and buy a home!"

"Good quite place to live. Everyone is nice and helpful. I hate to leave but it is expensive,when i 1st moved in it wasn't but times have changed and you can't blame the apartment owners. Overall I would recommend."

"Dothan is such a beautiful place, don’t waste your time living here. My actual townhome has nothing but problems from room leaks, dishwasher problems, to even car break ins. It’s not a safe place to live. The pool was only open for a month during the summer. The laundry facilities barely work and aren’t clean. I won’t lie, I was really excited when I moved in but it quickly changed! Everything was terrible about this place. I would not recommend it!"

"Do yourself a favor and Don’t bother looking at Summer Wood Apartment Homes. Extremely poor management, run down building and all appliances (kitchen and bathrooms) are broken down. The owners are trying to squeeze every dollar from tenants and are stingy on renovations and upgrades. Entire house smells like cigarette smoke and when I moved in I found a cigarette butt squished into the corner of one of the window tracks. I moved out early and was asked to pay $2900 out of pocket plus lost my security deposit of $300. Had to pay any damage charges out of pocket (but because I kept the place clean we weren’t charged). I gave my 60 day notice in January, and they are making me pay for utilities all the way in MARCH!!! I haven’t lived in the complex since middle of January and my 60 day notice should mean pay bills till the end of February. Save yourself the headache and save your money and find a complex with better management. I’ll have my hands washed of this horrendous place in MARCH... and I can’t WAIT."

"They always get payments messed up, and the new management is cheap as Hell. Like, doesn't spray for fleas (It's infested outside) and doesn't modernise the apartments. It's pretty bad. Literally looks like the late 80's or early 90's in here. People are leaving in droves for a reason."
