Clarion Inn & Suites Dothan South

"Just a disaster, unfortunately I think it's just a little too late for this hotel they are finally actually remodeling even though for the last 7 years they have basically been remodeling but they have been just putting a Band-Aid over everything but they are actually remodeling now but I feel like it's a little too late they have completely made of mockery of choice hotels And the Clarion Inn Name. How they have managed to keep the name on this hotel is beyond belief I stayed here a year ago and I stayed on the back side downstairs and it was nothing great but for $70 it wasn't up to par. Now I stay here tonight and to basically get it for $60 there are no rooms available downstairs supposedly because they're all being remodeled they should put that online because there is no elevator at this hotel! Now let me be perfectly clear I stayed in room 234 there were no bugs but there were toilets all outside my room the other people staying here well I'm just not so sure about these people but they did not bother me and my vehicle was safe. This hotel has it had a cleaning in 10 years but they will tell you there's a $250 charge if you smoke in the room or you have a pet I don't know how they would be able to tell because it's really that dirty. The beds are somewhat comfortable and they were clean but anything else not so much.... It should tell you something when the owner of the hotel or the manager has it responded to any of these comments or reviews in 7 years! Basically they should just charged $45 and not even remodel and just play it out with the Clarion name because as I said it's a little too late and I just don't think they're bringing this one back! The owner should be ashamed but I'm sure he's going to change it to some other name brand once they remodel in start over again and never clean it and ride it out one more time I'm sure it saves him a lot of money because he obviously doesn't care about the reviews! Like I said there were no bugs and I have stayed in worse but also paid less! I surely hope he doesn't think that he's going to get even 10 more dollars a night once it's remodeled because it's basically at it's peak for what it is.... I'm sure it's very busy during the summer time because people are traveling to the beach and they want a cheap hotel along the way because they know they have a better one once they get on their vacation!"

"Room stunk of cigarettes, supposed to be NON- SMOKING. Bathtub to shower switch frozen open, couldn't use the shower. Floors were so dirty the bottoms of my white socks were black. I would not recommend this motel to anyone."

"Everything in the description of this hotel is a lie. Rooms are out dated. Shower barely works. Toilet barely flushes. Paint is bubbled out on walls. You get 1 bath towel. There is no breakfast buffet. The pool looks like the set of swamp thing. There is a bar/restaurant but didn't go in because after everything else I've seen they aren't getting another dollar out of me. Best bet is to find another hotel and ask to see the room 1st before checking in. Sincerely Chris Gudgeon Diamond Member"

"Stayed for 2 nights with small children and the only good thing about this hotel was the bed. It's very comfortable. However everything else needs to be updated. Their falling apart. The refrigerator leaked all over floor. The mirror was falling off the wall. They didn't serve enough breakfast the cook was filthy, he yelled at a paying customer that he couldn't get extra food . The swimming pool was green as can be. During summer ( hot) kids wanted to go swimming. It was also very loud at 1am with people outside screaming."
