Fieldcrest Apartments

"I don’t know where to start. I could honestly write a book. I wish I could fit everything I had to say here. We pay a lot of rent here (on time at that) for no one to seem to care about our health or concerns we have addressed. Staff will listen to everything you have to say but nothing is done about it. We have had bees invade our apartment and the hole that the bees made was just patched over and spackled. Our family and friends come over and laugh and question what happen because it wasn’t even covered well enough to match the wall paint or anything. I had to put a maintenance request in twice to have it looked at. My first maintenance request says it was completed and that is a lie. I put the second one in over two weeks later and someone came. We have had several leaks from the upstairs and the leaks are fixed, but not the water stains nor has the apartment been checked for mold. Our hall closet will not shut properly after a leak messed up the door frame. When maintenance was shown the door he used recessive force to shut it and told my husband “see it shuts” I am pregnant and unable to use excessive force to try and shut the door. We were able to get a company here to check for the mold but office staff refuse to give us the report. Which seems shady considering she told us mold count was not high enough to be a concern. We are especially concerned for our health and our unborn child’s health. The lady in charge told us to get a lawyer there was nothing more she could say or do.I just want to see the report so I know everything is ok. We have stayed sick the entire time of being here. We live off allergy meds, decongestants, and nasal spray. My husband has all of a sudden start using inhalers for wheezing. We have paid too much money for no one to care. Again they will listen all day to you complain but nothing is done. Read the other reviews if you don’t believe me. I saw one where they had wasp coming in and had same issue with it just being taped over and there are other reviews about water stains from leaks and molds and nothing is done.I even read the responses the apartment company left on the reviews and the one that says call to address well I have called it’s not going to change now. The whole situation has given me anxiety and causing some depression. They make me feel like they think we are just crazy and not legitimate complaints for one bedroom $889 per month. This is only 1/2 my issues. I already wrote a book and could write a whole another chapter. Again check the other reviews because others have had some of the same issues so there is your red flag."

"I have had bees invade my apartment and only tape was placed over hole. After reading reviews I am not the first person to of had this happen. Fieldcrest manager Haley is very unhelpful. I have had at least 5 water leaks from the neighbors above me. No work was done to prevent mold. I became seriously ill after moving in to fieldcrest. The worst apartment I have ever lived in. I would have given 0 stars but I was forced to give one star. If you are thinking about moving in don’t. Please visit dumps-in-Dothan on facebook to see pictures of my nasty apartment that management fails to maintain. I expressed my disappointment in maintenance to property manager Haley she told me to sue. This is after explaining I became sick after moving in and that I was injured in the military and waiting on my V.A. Claim and lacked financial means to move out. I have contacted a lawyer. This is not a veteran friendly company. I advise all veterans to look elsewhere for housing. If you move in your health may decline as mine has and have been bed ridden due to conditions I believe are being caused by mold. I was told by Haley the apartment complex manager mold was present and I should sue if I don’t like it. She refuses to let me see results of test because I believe she has something to hide. I have mailed off cultures of what I believe is mold. I will have a blood or urine sample collected on Sunday October the 1st 2023 to verify mold or some other harmful exposure. I hate fieldcrest apartments and regret moving in horrible place to live"

"Moved in here in early or middle 2020 after relocating back from Florida. Put down a $650 deposit. The apartment was small, cramped and had the absolutely smallest master bathroom and bedroom I have ever seen in an apartment. Their idea of "updating units" was to simply swap appliances from white to black. Wallpaper was painted over so much that is began to pull away from the wall. Mutiple AC and electrical issues in the unit that ended up having the fire department respond due to the AC shorting out. Now I will give props to one of the maintenance workers I think his name was Dustin. Dustin was super cool and quick to fix things if he could. He tried everything that he could to fix the electrical issues in our unit to include completely replacing our panel in the laundry room. So, Dustin, I give him 5 stars. However, they kept the pools and fitness center closed for 2 years for fear of COVID, but we still had to pay full price and could not use the amenities. Oh, during this time they kept the playground open and allowed little kids to play but the adults had no pools or fitness center to use. Parking is a nightmare. Not enough spaces for residents to use. Residents having multiple guests taking up multiple spaces forcing residents to park further away from their building. Drug use is rampant. The smell of weed permeates the property. Residents openly smoking weed outside and nothing is done about it even though the possession of drugs is considered a lease violation. Personally, I don't care what you do in your own unit but forcing myself and others to have to walk through a cloud a marijuana smoke isn't cool. You want to smoke, keep it in your apartment. The so-called courtesy officer is a joke. He is arrogant and outright refuses to assist residents. I will give the property manager Haley props. She was always pleasant to deal with but some of the other ladies in her office were horrible when she wasn't there. It was a place to live but I am so happy to be out of there."

"I have lived here for two years and has overall a great loving experience. It has its typical apartment issues but staff are always very nice and helpful. The apartment itself is exactly what me and my husband needed. Great condition!"

"I have been living at Fieldcrest for 3 years now. I have enjoyed every minute. With a great location, amenities to satisfy all their residents; I would recommend this place to live to anyone interested in moving to Dothan. Love the dog park and the gym access 24/7."
