Preston Hills at Mill Creek Apartments

"Don’t move here unless you’re desperate. Management constantly changes and they’re very disorganized. They’ll mess up your rent payments and email eviction notices for their mistake. Charge you renters insurance even though you have your own, and the amenities like the pools you pay for don’t open until half way through the season. Trash valet constantly misses pick ups, but you pay $30 for it. Then your charged extra for the compactor that is CONSTANTLY over flowing with trash. The buildings are dingy. The breeze ways could use a pressure washing and the paint on the railings are chipping and look terrible. The building is 20 years old and it shows. If you have an issue and need maintenance it’ll take weeks before they come help you, so you may as well fix problems yourself. They do nothing when you complain. The only way you can get their help is if you go to the office, which if you work during their hours, you can’t. And if you can, you’ll stand there forever. There’s always 1 maybe 2 people in there and a bunch of other upset tenants. They don’t answer any emails and never answer the phone. And they send threatening emails when they do decide to “fix “ a problem. If they can’t pin point who’s leaving trash where it’s not supposed to be, they’ll threaten the entire building with fining EVERYONE $200 with no proof of who did it."

"I’m here again with another review. Honestly if you’re thinking of moving here literally make it last resort. Management is still constantly changing and every month we pay $30 for trash valet that isn’t consistent. Oh it gets better … because there isn’t consistent trash pickup the compactor gets too full which Preston hills thinks residents should be charged extra. This month they charged an extra $20 for their own short comings!$50 for trash is insane. Every place has their cons but this place I just wouldn’t move here honestly. It’s really a shame because the area is nice ! It’s the management and overall company.this is my very first place and I can say I learned my lesson."

"ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPLEX RUN AWAY!!! I don’t even know where to start with this place. I lived here for 3 years and nothing good to say. They rotate employees like CRAZY, Trash NEVER gets picked up, Trash compactor is ALWAYS full and NEVER works, lock your car doors cause guess what you WILL get robbed, they do not exterminate even though you get charged for it, gates are always open in this “gated” community, and you will never have decent parking spot close to your apartment and you will get towed if you park on the side even though there is literally no parking. Overall this community is TRASH. You’ve been warned."

"Customer service, leasing staff, follow up contact, timely maintenance requests and property management have consistently gone down hill over the past 18 months. I have been a resident for 6 years and thank God it is coming to an end. Trying to speak with management is unbelievably difficult. I have been trying to talk with a manager and/or corporate for the past 2 weeks and have been continuously railroaded by the in-office leasing agents. It’s really disheartening as I have been an excellent tenant, no issues, no late payments etc. and to not have the opportunity to speak with the appropriate staff when issues occur is unacceptable. Instead of focusing on properly handling resident issues, management focuses on sending threatening emails, fining residents for the most ridiculous reasons and towing cars that are registered with the complex. The continuous lack of communication is going to be the downfall of this once really nice community."

"This place is in shambles. My faucet has been dripping for four — yes, four! — months, and despite repeated emails to management and personally asking several maintenance workers to fix it, nothing was ever done, raising my monthly water bill by an untold amount. In fact, I finally fixed it on my own by turning off the hot water. And a dripping faucet doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of what’s wrong with this place. Trash everywhere. Gate is always broken. Crumbling infrastructure. There were so many burst pipes that the plumber basically lived here for a period. Need to take a shower before work? Too bad, the water’s been shut off because a pipe burst with no word from management. Tons of crime, including three murders in the four years I’ve lived here — all without a single peep of reassurance from management about the safety of the complex. Half the laundry machines out of order for more than six months. Pools opened more than a month later than they were supposed to. I could go on and on. Stay far, far away from this place."
