Best Buy

"Do not waste your time, money, or efforts with Best Buy or Geek Squad. We bought a washer and dryer with a five-year Geek Squad protection plan about two years ago. After the washer broke in December, we contacted Geek Squad for a repair and got a maintenance appointment scheduled. Took the day off work, waited around for someone to show up. Nobody ever did. That happened two more time. Dozens of phone calls only ever resulted in “escalating” our case. Finally, after weeks of no repair, Best Buy approved us for an exchange. Great news to us – we would finally have a working washer! Except, once again, nobody ever showed up to deliver it. More phone calls, more “escalation.” Without any answers, we went into our local store, tried to sort things out, and were told it was checked into the store and would be delivered that day. More good news! Except it still wasn’t delivered. We spoke with the delivery driver, turns out a new washer WAS NEVER EVEN ORDERED. The washer wasn’t delivered because it never existed in the first place. Unbelievable. Really seems Best Buy is a disorganized, poorly run company that can’t deliver on the goods that their customers paid for."

"I waited to get information about a product that I was interested in for over an hour. I finally left the store discouraged and somewhat upset. It's not a good experience. I have had better service at Home Depot."

"Went to a Verizon store trying to get a Cellular iPad 11 Pro, and they told me they’d have to order one. I’m an over the road truck driver so I needed it in the time I am home, so I contacted Best Buy and was told they had one in stock. I went there in the evening, around an hour before they closed, and was told they only had one person who could add it to my Verizon account and they were currently with someone. So I was asked if I wanted to make an appointment for the next day which I did. 10:30 AM. I get here not only do I stand around for 10 minutes before someone helps me, despite multiple people walking by, but I try to do the same thing as the night prior, in which I’m told they’re out of stock even though they had one yesterday. They apparently sold that ONE in the evening around the same time I was there. Instead of making sure they’d have one in stock, letting me do it the night prior, or informing me this morning that they sold it, here I am having to drive to another Best Buy when I already wasted my time this morning. Poor customer service for sure and I won’t be back here for anything."

"I went into Best Buy for my Apple phone being cracked and it needed to be repaired. I went in and the geek squad told me I needed an appointment before they could even look at my phone. The next appointment was a week from then so I said absolutely, no problem and booked my appointment. I come in 5 minutes early for my appointment and they have me sit for 30 minutes while they are talking to other costumers even though I thought I should’ve been priority since I had an appointment but still, I was okay with it since I really just wanted my phone fixed. The worker finally looks at my phone and tells me they do not take insurance and it would be 250 dollars. I was very confused because multiple T-mobile workers told me they do it for about 20 dollars with insurance on the phone. They were very confusing and told me they do not even have the parts for my phone even if i were to pay the 250 (which I was considering because I was so desperate). My phone is still cracked. They could have told me this when I went in the first time it would’ve taken 2 seconds but I went for no reason TWICE. the workers were very nice though. Polite and seemed like they knew what they were doing just ran so poorly."
