"Went into withdrawal because doctor wouldn't send my antidepressants to my new pharmacy, nor to my old pharmacy. I had to call eight times over the course of three days before he finally sent it, but at that point i had already begun feeling awful."

"Mary Peters is the BEST doctor in the whole building. I was wondering why NO antidepressants were working, because I would get irritable and high-strung too, not just depressed. She diagnosed me with bipolar 2 disorder, after I told her my mom had manic depression (bipolar disorder now). It took a couple different meds to finally find the right one for me (Geodon). However, I can't give 5 stars because one of the female receptionists downstairs was unpleasantly unfriendly and kept her words short. NO SMILE, NOTHING. If you don't like your job, don't work there. BE LIKE MARY PETERS!!! Also if you're at the window and there's 3 people standing behind you, it's really messed up for the receptionist to just blurt out your personal information like your address and phone number. That's why I prefer to do phone appointments with Mary, because the receptionist made me feel unsafe. She knew there were people behind me and she must've said my info loud on purpose so they could hear. FHS should put our personal info on the small screen and we can press "correct" so no one has to hear our personal information. When you have a mental illness, you really don't want other people to know your personal information. That receptionist should be fired or sued, or both. She couldn't even be bothered to lower her voice at least. Stop making patients feel unsafe."

"I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Dr. Mary Peters! She was recommended to me by a friend because I wanted a second opinion. She is the first person I have EVER felt comfortable talking to about my mental health. She has an AMAZING personality and is VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. After seeing her for a short period of time, she was able to determine a proper diagnosis and caught something that every one else had missed. I FINALLY feel better than I ever have in my entire life. I have so much respect for her and don't know where I would be without her."

"I can't say enough about Family Health Services. The doctors and nurses take the time to listen to your concerns and discuss options to address them. Katie and Teresa are an amazing team. Leslie, my dietician is wonderful. She helps you learn how to prepare food focusing on your specific dietary needs. The Food as Medicine program is the perfect opportunity to take that step to understand how food choices affect your health. I am so thankful for the entire Family Health Services team!"

"New to the area, I chose this practice because they were one of the few practices accepting my insurance. Visited the Dental clinic for my first cleaning on 11/10/22. As a former dental professional, now retired, I am extremely particular about the care I receive and have very high expectations. I was very pleased with the hygienist Emily. She was very personable and most importantly, gentle while doing an extremely thorough job cleaning my teeth. I highly recommend her. I would have given a higher rating, but was surprised the protocol did not include a review of the cleaning by the dentist, which in my past experiences is a standard operating procedure. This is especially noteworthy since as a new patient, I had never met the dentist. At the first consultation appointment on 10/20/22, Dr. Rizk was on vacation & Dr. Gholekar of the Norwalk location was filling in. It may have been an oversight, but it was expected and would have been appropriate for the doctor, who will be responsible for my care, to have made an effort to personally greet and welcome me as new patient. Understanding that a busy schedule or an emergency appointment sometimes prevents a provider from being accessible, I still consider this a missed opportunity to build a trusting relationship and hope it will be remedied at my next appointment."
