"We saw Elise Roche at the marietta art it out center in 2021 for my 15 year old daughter who was feeling depressed. after a few sessions, she started talking to my daughter about getting on anti depressants without talking to me 1st. Is that even legal? I'm sure antidepressants for some can be life changing and there is a place for them. however, I was very upset how medications were discussed with my daugther without her and I discussing them 1st. I expressed my concern that she needed to talk to me 1st before recommending antidepressants. after my talk and a few more sessions, she basically told me that she couldn't help my daughter and needed to end the sessions. My daughter had formed an attachment to her and felt very abandoned by her. Let's just say, that this was the worst experience with this therapist. I'm so fed up with our system that pushes our kids towards pharmaceutical medications. Happy to say that after her, we saw a more holistic therapist and my daughter is thriving now. Needless to say that I felt like I had to post this review to warn other parents that do your due diligence on picking your child's therapist, interview them extensively and make sure you have shared values."
