"We decided to give the Quad a chance the summer of 2021, after meeting the owner and touring the nice, and bright facility. We were trying to find a safe place with trained, caring, and loving staff and teachers for our 2 1/2 year old. Even though our kid still had a short transitional period with tears involved, the pictures and videos we received from the first day confirmed we had found the perfect place for her. Since that day, not much has changed. The staff and the teachers are still caring, loving, and always so welcoming. Very few of them have left the Quad since then, and every new member has been a wonderful addition! We have no doubt our daughter is in a safe space, and in good hands throughout the day. Our kid only spoke Spanish when she started. Fast-forward over two years, and we have seen her hold long conversations in French, and English beautifully (she has had French homeroom since we enrolled her, and English classes were first introduced in Toddler 3). In Spanish, she did have an advantage, and the class content until last semester was not challenging for her. But, it did not get in the way of her having fun during class, completing the work, and helping her friends with theirs! Now in prek-4, she is very engaged, and learning new things. She recognizes the letters in a text, puts syllabus together by sounding them out, and slowly reads them. We are very happy about that, since it is very important that she not only speaks and understands Spanish, but also learns how to correctly write it and read it. Her Mandarin is not as strong as her French, but she counts, recognizes and pronounces the characters studied throughout the lessons, and responds to simple commands and questions with ease. It is incredible! Given that she only receives formal instruction in Mandarin one hour a day. Aside from formal instruction time, the kids are challenged throughout the day to switch between the four languages back and forth, since they are in contact with different teachers and staff members for transitions between classes, snack/lunch time, and before and after classes which is basically playtime. And all of this progress in French, Mandarin, and English has been from the exposure, and instruction she gets at the Quad. We still only speak Spanish at home, and do not pay for any private tutoring in the other languages. We knew that English would eventually click, as it happens for so many non-native speaker kids. However, we did not know what to expect about French and Mandarin, and it has been mind blowing! We still giggle every time we see videos of her (and her classmates) doing their thing in these languages with so much confidence and ease. We also see it in person, when different teachers in the hallway address our daughter, and she just responds in that particular language without giving it much thought. It is impressive to witness! And, it is just not about the languages. The curriculum truly embraces the opportunity to allow the kids to experience different cultural aspects. The kids have different activities for the Chinese New Year, Hispanic Heritage Month, Black History Month, La Chandeleur, and we think that is pretty cool! The owner is also very involved. Jessa is always striving to improve what they offer, and providing the kids with quality, and fun experiences. Many are at no extra cost to the families, and some are, like the after-school programs, (such as Zumba for kids, Playball, Techie Kids, just to name a few). The families are amazing as well, it has been awesome to meet other parents. Now post-Covid, it has been easier to connect, since we have been able to participate in-person activities at the school (such as Sports Day, Trunk-or-Treat, field tips, and so on). It fills my heart with happiness to see our daughter growing, learning, connecting, and excited about going to school every day! We highly recommend the Quad!"

"My son joined The Quad on August 1st of this year in a Toddler 3 classroom. I was nervous about starting him in a new school that teaches languages, especially because my husband and I only speak English, but he very quickly adapted and is now thriving at the school. In only three months, my son learned to count in four languages, say many phrases, sing songs, and respond to verbal commands from his teachers. I am so shocked how quickly he picked up all of the languages (Mandarin, Spanish and French are the three we do not speak at home). The entire staff at the school are all incredible. His teachers are so caring, but also are phenomenal instructors. His curriculum is robust (MUCH more robust than the other very popular local daycare my son used to attend!!). He is constantly enriched with new activities to help him learn. He is loved on and cared for every day, but also is learning so much and surrounded by friends. He ADORES his classmates and talks about them constantly. Even the older children at the school greet my son by name - it is clear the "big kids" give lots of love to the littles at the school. We have also become part of the parent community, quickly making friends and getting involved in the PTO and extracurriculars. We are so lucky The Quad is part of our Smyrna community. What a rarity to find such a wonderful school with the highest standards of education (IB program!!) and quality child care... and a school that teaches FOUR languages! I rave about The Quad to every parent I meet. I cannot imagine the opportunities my son will have someday in his future because we have found The Quad. I cannot say enough good things. If you are considering enrolling your child in The Quad, I highly recommend you get on the waitlist ASAP! And wow - the new school that's coming in early 2025... I don't know what I am allowed to say about it, but the building plans and renderings look amazing. We are so happy at The Quad!!"

"I had two kids attending the Quad and one just moved to a Mandarin immersion program at a public charter school. The younger one is still staying at the Quad.
