"Terrible place! No care for your loved one in the most sensitive time of their lives! I cannot even express how horrible this place is. The people are rude and absolute liars. They will tell you whatever you want to hear and then say that's not what they said. Luckily we taped multiple conversations went to the facility and wouldn't leave until they released my loved one. Lots of laughing and playing around while phones are ringing off the hook. There are a couple people there that did show some empathy for our plight. Wish they could have negative stars."
"If I could give one star I would! Only thing they are good at is stonewalling, lying and being rude. They are legal kidnappers because the law says they can legally keep your child over and above the 72 hours for up to 7 days before the courts will get involved. No age appropriate activite's, no groups on counseling on weekends so that's just dead time not counted into the 72 hours. When you call they let the phone ring and ring despite sitting at the desk which we witnessed in the lobby multiple days. They lied multiple times when I called to speak to my child saying she was doing this or that when in fact she stated she was not. My child was exposed to some traumatizing behavior from other teens , things she has NEVER been exposed too. They kept saying you cant file a 10-10 (ama) until Friday after the 5 days they said they could hold her, which I found out wasn't true. She arrived early in the AM without being placed in a room forced to sleep on a couch, no clothes for 36 hours forced to wear a paper suit . This place is a joke! One employee even told us they just tell you things to get you out of their face or off the phone and it was a money making racket, which we already knew. I implore you do not send anyone here. We did call a lawyer and he helped tremendously with advice and stopped us from being duped by these insidious practices. I highly recommend if you find yourself in this predicament ( she was not appropriate for this level of crisis intervention she was depressed but not a danger) that you call Derick Gage Attorney , he can give you some guidance. This is not even half of what we experienced in this wretched place. Thank God above my baby is home now !"
"You will see a common thread throughout these reviews - patients feel like they are worse rather than better after their stay at Ridgeview. They have zero concern for actually helping and no regard for the patient's needs. I was held against my own will for the purpose of insurance fraud (I was there of my own free will and was lied to over and over on when I could break out). They did not provide the group sessions/classes that were promised (I was there for 6 days and only had meditation and AA to go to). The rest of the time was spent playing monopoly, coloring or playing cards. No joke. How does that help me?! And to think they are getting paid for this? I was told my copay was $1,000 and when I was finally free I realized they charged me $1,400. Event the Better Business Bureau refuses to acknowledge them as a reputable business. Get your loved ones out and get them to a real facility!!!"
"this place does more harm than good for 1013 kids. there’s a reason the reviews are so terrible. first of all my daughter was exposed to behavior she shouldn’t have in a state as fragile as hers was. they ran out of water at one point and only gave them tea. tell you they provide toiletries but had no combs or conditioner. they are treated more like prisoners than victims. lack of communication is astounding, it’s like pulling teeth to get someone on the phone to tell you anything about your child. we came from the emergency room where i was told i’d be with her during intake. soon as i got there i was told nope she can’t see anyone. didn’t even get a proper goodbye. i asked the staff member to please tell her i can’t come back and to say bye for me, when i did speak to my child she said she was never told anything. she only saw a therapist for individualized care on day 1, after that the therapist got sick and they never sent a replacement, only sent her to group therapy. i signed a 1010 to get her out and was told i could come get her so i got there at 10, checked on status every hour to be told “they’re working on it” when finally at 4 we asked for a supervisor who said the d doctor doesn’t have to sign the discharge today. for 6 hours we got the run around. finally i called the police and she was discharged within the hour. this place is an absolute nightmare for kids and families and should be shut down!"
"Absolutely horrible place. All they care about is money. If you go in there under a 1013, but have no reason to hurt yourself or others they will still hold you there as long as they can to get money out of you. Doesn't matter if your still sick or feeling great after a day or two they will hold you the max amount of days. They will give you medication you dont need and take you off medication you normally take. Causes you to go into some type of withdrawal. This place is a nightmare, please do not bring anyone here if you care about them at all. This place needs to be shut down for good. Also you have to wait in a boring small room all by yourself for 6+ hours while you wait your turn to be seen before you go to a unit. This place will make you more crazy when you get out then when you went in."
