"Horrible experience with one particular staff member. Eye injections are hurtful and cause me great anxiety. Today marked my second one. As soon as my daughter and I hit the parking lot I completely go blank a d focus within attempting to calm and smoothe myself. I am always unsettled having to have them and get no sleep the day prior. I totally wasn't present and wasn't comprehending the diagnostic scan taken and when asked if i got one replied no. The two employees that I had a client-employee relationship with kept assuring meI did to which I kept saying no. The therapeutic relationship was going well until out of now where unannounced with no patient-employee relationship this person comes in disruptively aggressive and very unprofessionally interjects in our conversation. No introduction. No manners. She did nothing but escalate the matter by heightening my anxiety and upsetting not only me but my dsughter. This persons tone and.body language gestures were not approproate or ok EVER use at any place of employment. Moreover, my dsughter and I overheard the whole conversation between this person and other staff. Obviously she stated, "I dont care." She doesn't"

"Dr. Puneet Panda performed cataract surgery on my right eye. I experienced physical and emotional abuse by two individuals in the post op recovery area. During the consultation and pre-surgery, I informed Dr. Panda that it takes me longer to come out of the anesthesia. This is my norm. This was also communicated to the anesthesiologist and nurses for this prior to surgery. Unfortunately, this information was not relayed and/ or adhered to. The two nurses applied a significant amount of force and pressure by pinching me between her neck and shoulder (trapezius area) on both sides. They were alternating and then they did it at the same time. This caused me significant pain. I was able to remove the hand of the nurse on the left. I could hear but could not speak clearly due to the anesthesia. She continued applying severe pressure. I was defenseless, vulnerable, and unable to protect myself due to the effects of the anesthesia. They were verbally and physically abusive. These actions show clear disregard for patient care. Surely, this is not the legal way to assist patients with coming out of anesthesia. It is very concerning that the other employees were complicit to the abuse, but no one intervened on my behalf. One of the nurses said, “make her drink some water, maybe that will wake her up.” The other nurse brought me a cup of water with a straw. I tried to drink but I could not because I was still sedated. She said she’s not drinking; she’s just chewing on the straw. That same nurse said wipe her face with a cold towel. One nurse said just take her over there until she wakes up. One of the nurses went outside to talk to my husband. My husband communicated to the nurse about how it normally takes a little longer for me to come out of anesthesia. He also asked her what type of sedative was given. The nurse told my husband not to worry and she would be fine and they would let me rest. When the nurse came back, she aggressively asked me who is that man to you, but I couldn’t answer her. Another nurse suggested that she look at her information, but she just continued asking me who is that man to you. At my follow up appointment,I told Dr. Panda about the abuse that I suffered in the care of Marietta Eye Surgery Center. Dr. Panda dropped his head and stated that he had overheard these two nurses (referring to the temp agency Medely) being rude to other patients and he had previously spoken with Michelle Punshon (Director of Surgery Center) about these nurses. She told him that they are short of help. Dr. Panda suggested that we reach out to Michelle Punshon directly. He said maybe she would listen to a patient’s complaint more than an internal complaint. I called Michelle as soon as I got home. I begin telling Michelle about the physical and emotional abuse that I experienced during my care at Marietta Eye Surgery. At first, Michelle appeared to be unconcerned, nonchalant, and uncaring about trauma that I experienced at Marietta Eye Surgery. Michelle stated she has not received any complaints. I also asked Michelle if it was common practice to pinch patients as a tactic. She said no. I mentioned to Michelle about writing a review. She was more concerned about the content of the review than my concern of abuse. She suggested that I be clear the nurses were from a temp agency. I communicated to Michelle, it does not matter where they are from; they are doing work for your business, and you are responsible for vetting your contracted support. I told her that she didn’t care about what happened to me. I am very disappointed about the lack of concern and care that I received. They don't want to take responsibility for their nurses actions. I hold Marietta Eye Surgery Center completely responsible."

"This facility has a clean pen and dirty pen box to separate the two. Hilarious, what about everything else touched in the facility? These people are crazy, scary, fearful medical associates. The act is not as scary as the philosophy that created it. These medical associates are truly Looney Tunes!"
