"This is the second local business I grew up with that has rude and less than competent employees. I love to go into Hemricks because it reminds me of going there with my mama. Expired meat products, rude deli employees and don't get me started on their cashier. My mama would be shocked if she were still with us. There is a pharmacy down the road that is even worse. I still go in just to buy a soft drink because of the memories."
"Used to love Hemrick's, However they have really gone down hill. Their prices have sky rocketed and the food quality has gone down. Paid almost $15.00 for 2 pieces of fish, mac and cheese, speckled butter beans and a roll. The fried catfish was cold, mushy and tasted a bit off like it was spoiled. The mac and cheese was dry and the hush puppies could be bounced off the wall they were so rubbery. The speckled butter beans were the only thing worth eating. The short white deli lady was extremely rude. Acted like it was a bother to serve me. Customers drive your business and help to pay your paycheck. You should be a bit friendlier and nicer to people. If you don't like your job get another one."
"Absolutely horrible service on the deli side. Rude staff that will make you wait for over 10 minutes to place an order. The owner of the business needs to be reminded that it is a customer driven business and without customers there won't be a business."
"This use to be one of mine and my family's favorite places to eat home cooked meals but they have really went down hill. Food isn't good, flies and knats everywhere, and prices are high for a gas station restaurant."
"I purchased a couple of frozen salmon(first mistake) since it was late at night and other grocery stores were closed. It smelled like ammonia when I opened the pack, so it was definitely bad. I called up to the store, to explain to them to remove and throw away the salmon. The guy answered and George I could finish explaining about the salmon, he placed me on the longest hold and I could still hear them talking and laughing, so I hung up. I didn’t call requesting my money back or anything(which I could have) I was just calling to have them get rid of the salmon because it was bad in case someone gets sick or God forbid die from food poisoning. I know not to purchase any of their meat again."
