"We have been donating weekly here for a few years. We donate mostly new things we never used or things we never ended up returning, high end designer clothes and shoes , etc. I love the mission of helping animals while also helping those less fortunate afford nice things . I have been really sad to see the outrageous prices ( such as $16 a glass for damaged bar ware) . I see the things we donated to the store priced higher than what I bought them for . I just bought a box of Antique books that they had marked down from 70 to 35 dollars . They specifically wrapped them up and posted not to open or handle them until they were bought. I bought them , got them home , and opened the box only to find all of them but two were severely damaged by water and were warped and had black mold on all the bindings and pages . You couldn’t tell this from the way they were in the box, with the bindings facing you. What a waste of money. How can you sell this stuff to people. Please make things affordable when you get all of this for free . Most of the staff at John’s creek location is so nice . They are the reason for the three stars ."
"Imagine how much $$ would go to help rescue animals if the business would close the "overflow" store, reduce the prices to reasonable thrift store prices and have more turnover. Selection is pretty good considering everything is donated to them to help animals. I prefer to put my money in the hands of mission thrift stores, but I was seriously aghast at the prices."
"They have lots of items because they overcharge on everything, so no one buys it. It's jammed pack with non moving inventory. They don't realize they are selling second hand junk, not brand new items. I bought a board game for $4 that would be $2 elsewhere. The game board was ripped in half, and half the pieces were missing. No one even looked at the condition of the game before pricing it. It's in the garbage now. I won't be back. I could have bought a game at a garage sale in pristine condition for a buck."
"They've got unbelievable beautiful things and at fantastic prices. Framed art. Lamps. Dishes and cooking. Books. Holiday decorations. Greeting cards. Jewelry. Pet supplies. Office supplies. Furniture. And more. You don't even need to be a pet lover to enjoy the store. I had donated to them for a long time. When I finally went inside and looked around, I was surprised by the quality of the inventory. I disagree with the comment about their prices being high. Most things are discounted from what is on the price sticker, which may have been missed by a couple of commenters. I just left the store, and the jeans are $5 per pair - this comment is for the person who complained that they're $20. And the proceeds directly benefit their shelter and the animals they care for. Thanks, Furkids!"
"I love this place most of these shoes are 4 to 5 dollars...is so inexpensive ..one of my favorite places. Added these charms to my pandora bracket ....so cute you will always find adorable stuff in here!"
