"Spent a couple of nights here. Found the unit to be very clean and comfortable. What stood out for me was Sydney, the young lady that checked us in. She was very friendly and personable. A very nice and helpful employee."

"The rooms were neat and cute. The only issue was that it took forever to get hot water. I really thought it wasn't working at first, it took so long. The walls are thin, and you can hear outside of them more than you would like. Luckily, not many people were there."

"I am writing for help to address issues we encountered during our stay at Candlewood Suites in Auburn, Alabama. We travel often and have NEVER, I mean NEVER, had an experience as we did at your facility. Our stay was scheduled for 6/11/2023-6/13/2023 (two-night stay) while our daughter was participating in a new student orientation at Auburn University. We were forced to check in well after 9:00 due to travel issues. Arrival was bumpy as we encountered multiple intoxicated people wandering around both outside and inside of the building. One gentleman was so intoxicated he was being carried to his room but two other men. When we arrived, we were tired and only wanted to rest prior to the orientation beginning. Due to the late arrival, we were unable to pack up and leave the same night when we saw the conditions of the room. We were greeted with a kitchen area floor that was unswept and we could see it had not been cleaned. While the bed sheets were clean, the mattresses were not clean and needed to be addressed. There was also fecal matter smeared all over the wall and back of the bathroom door. I cleaned this as best I could (and as safely as I could) just in the hopes of getting through the night and reevaluate the next morning. We went to bed and prayed for the best in a bad situation. This was not the end of a bad night. I woke up three different times to use the restroom. Each time I turned the lights on, I had to kill roaches before I could go to the bathroom. We managed to get through the night but upon waking to get ready to go to orientation, we needed to iron our clothes. The iron DID NOT WORK. My husband had to walk down to the front desk as no one was answering the phone. He was at the front desk for almost 25 minutes before being told that they did not have any irons and we would have to go purchase one if we wanted our clothes ironed. We packed our belongings and I stopped at the front desk to let them know we would NOT be staying another night. I was told we would be refunded for the stay but I have not received any follow up emails or contact from anyone at Candlewood Suites."

"Cleanliness is the most important factor to me. This room gets 10/10 on that. The rooms do have a full size fridge, dishwasher and stove top which is helpful. Only cons, the "Queen" bed was hilarious. It was definitely just a double bed. Also, for the price of these rooms- I was disappointed that they offer no breakfast at all. Overall, good to stay for a night or two. (Also, they are pet friendly.)"
