"This was my wife's 2nd time coming, my first. She brought me here for our 26th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent. The lightly breaded porkchops and country fried steak were excellent. I highly recommend the fried okra and sweet potato soufflé. Service and atmosphere were excellent."
"We can't say enough about our experience at the Swanson. We ate dinner there two nights. The food was excellent. Staff was super good. I had chicken fried chicken the first night and my wife had fried chicken. The second visit, I tried the meatloaf and my wife had prime rib. Again, both were excellent. Plenty of choices for sides. I recommend sweet potato soufflé. Prices are very reasonable. Nice atmosphere and a wide variety of choices. Full bar too. You can't go wrong eating there."
"Here on a visit from Orlando for a sporting event and came across this charming restaurant with the true Southern touch. Everything was great from the wonderful Ms Darcey, to the Deviled Eggs (with sweet pickles that they should be selling jars of, just saying #IdBeBuying), to the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes with gravy and Mac n' cheese, to the warm Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce, everything was excellent. My friend and I greatly enjoyed our dinner and next time we will have to bring our whole team with us!"
"My wife and I arrived early for dinner on a Monday, maybe 4:00-4:30. We were seated right away as it was not crowded at all. She ordered the Fried Pork Chops with field peas and collard greens. And I ordered the Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and creamed corn. I also had a sweet tea. We enjoyed the food very much though mine did need a dash more salt. Sweet tea was perfect sweetness (not too much). The country fried steak was cooked maybe 30 seconds too long in the fryer, but I would get it again. The staff were friendly and I thought the setting was welcoming and homey. Our server, M.D. was very nice and we enjoyed her service."
