"For over twenty years, this Cantonese spot has been our go to for special occasions and it never disappoints. We always start with their pan-fried seabass simple yet divine. The snow pea leaves stir-fry bursts with freshness while the General Tso’s Chicken hits the spot with its sweet and savory sauce. Their chicken fried rice and beef chow fun are staples, always satisfying. The Hunan Chicken brings the heat while the salt and pepper calamari are crispy perfection. Don’t forget their signature condiments such as hot chili oil and belacan because they add that extra kick we love. In short, this Chinese restaurant is a treasure of Cantonese flavors and we can’t wait for more years of delicious memories here."

"Visiting Atlanta for work...tried Canton Cooks...and I'm glad I did. Food was delicious and Hot...fried rice and chicken wings were amazing. You know a place is good when there are older Asians coming to eat while you are there. Great atmosphere and a plus was that they even spoke Spanish."

"Canton Cooks Chinese Restaurant was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. From the moment I opened the containers, an overwhelming and unpleasant odor filled the air, foreshadowing the unfortunate experience that awaited me. The taste of the food was nothing short of horrendous. I ordered a variety of dishes, hoping for a satisfying meal, but each one fell drastically short of my expectations. The flavors were not only off but also left an odd aftertaste that lingered unpleasantly. The pork dumplings, which should be a staple in any Chinese restaurant, was a complete letdown. The pork was not only tough and chewy but resembled nothing more than a hotdog stuffed in a dumpling. Furthermore, the Kung Pao chicken was nothing but a greasy mess. The chicken was smothered in a heavy sauce that tasted as if it had been cooked in the same oil over and over again. I also ordered the chicken fried rice. Sadly, the rice was bland and the chicken had a rubber like texture to it. In conclusion, my experience with Canton Cooks Chinese Restaurant was extremely disappointing. The horrendous taste and smell of the food left a lasting negative impression, and I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a satisfying Chinese dining experience. I hope that improvements are made in the future to ensure that customers are presented with flavorful, fresh, and appetizing dishes. Until then, I’ll be looking elsewhere for my Chinese cuisine cravings."

"Best Chinese food in Atlanta, hands down. Consistently delicious. (I am Chinese) House fried rice is delicious including Chinese sausage. Salt and pepper pork chops are amazing and the jalapeños give them a perfect kick. Green beans with minced pork or beef, delicious. Calamari is perfectly seasoned and also delicious! Pictures are from two separate dinners there. I honestly don’t think you can go wrong ordering anything on the menu. We will certainly be back soon to try more of the menu, along with our favorites listed above. Enjoy!"

"I decided to try this place for the first time tonight because I’ve been looking for a good Chinese place to go to. This restaurant seemed to check all the boxes… I ordered sizzling rice soup, moo goo gai pan, pan seared potstickers and it came with steamed rice. I liked the steamed rice. To start off my moo goo gai pan had a black plasticy bristle piece about 1”-2” long in the food. It was not burnt crispy food remnants or something, I tried to break it apart, but it was definitely plastic. I found it after dishing it out onto my plate. Next the soup I got had some shrimp in it but almost all of them had not been deveined… and my soup had a really weird odor to it. All I can relate it to is a petting zoo not sure why but maybe because the shrimp weren’t deveined and they were boiled in a soup. I ended up dumping it down the drain after one bite. The pot stickers were very burnt, dough was extremely thick, and the meat mix inside was just off. Overall after spending $40+ I ate steamed rice for dinner. I will never be back."
